So, I haven't seen a thread about really sad stuff lately. I thought I might as well make one and let us all wallow in depression! So, share your stories, movies or songs that have made you feel and think will make us all feel. Whoever makes me feel the most gets a cookie drenched in tears.

Here's my contribution:

This one gets to me, first time I watched that episode I cried for about ten minutes afterwards. I'd rather not think about how they fucking changed the ending to this episode in that crappy first movie thingy! THIS will be the ending to that episode forever

Well, due to a recent topic about a pet passing away appearing here recently I've started thinking about my dog again. About how I miss rolling in the grass with him, playing with him, lying against him while playing Pokemon on my gameboy...

Yeah, it makes me sad thinking about how I don't have that anymore.

Maybe I misread this and it's supposed to be a joke thread, I don't know either way I wrote something true and really sad so, if you don't feel like a whole load of venting, don't read the spoilers

My mom, once a great artist and loving mother was stricken with a rare form of a rare illness called aspasia where now she can't even do basic things like talking. It's incurable, it's progressive and we can't reteach her like a stroke because her brain is progressively just degrading.

Nicest person on the planet, made a lot of pretty work did a lot of charity and helping her family/her father who died of Alzheimers was mostly taken care of by her and her sister. Now she's struck down with a brain illness of her own and is damned to slowly fade away till the end. She has meds that help her out a bit, but to rub shit in, insurance doesn't cover it, it has to be imported on top of being expensive and hard to keep up with sometimes. She's disabled, and they don't cover her meds, this is is why corporations shouldn't run this shit.


How's that for sad? Because it's true, and I spend everyday at home taking care of her just trying to make her smile. Because in the end? That's all that can be done, make her happy.
