I would go back and observe how ancient humans/neanderthals lived. It would be fascinating to know how stupid/intelligent they really were and if they had the same capacity for emotion and empathy that we do.

I'd prefer to stay in our own time period, that's where my life is. I might also do some historical research as well. I also wouldn't exploit it because I don't believe it's possible to change history.

Why is it people assume any type of tiome travel is possibly outside a spaceship?

If you were to travel back in time a day in (largely) static space (ala Back to the Future) you'd end up in deep space millions of miles from Earth.

Anyways ...

If I could travel back in time, I'd go back .0001 Seconds before I went back in time ....

That way I would emerge exacty as I was inputting the time that I wanted to go (.0001 seconds in the past) ... but before I could press the 'okay' button I would re material in the exact same place and destroy myself and the machine.

Creating a MASSIVE paradox (As if I killed myself and destroyed the time machine, how could I go back to kill myself and destroy the time machine?) and buttfucking the galaxy presumeably and elevating me to Godhood ... presumeably <.<

Edit: Either that Or I'd go back 3.4 Billion years with a space suit and play with the strains of viral DNA and then go back to our time and see if it made a difference o.o

If it turns out it was a bad idea, worst comes to the worse I can always go back 3.4 billion years, sneak up on the past me about to play with the virus' DNA and kill him.
