Square Enix for not releasing a Final Fantasy VII remake, Kingdom Hearts 3, or Versus XIII.

Namco Bandai for re-releasing a more complete version of Tales of Vesperia only in japan.

Bioware for not making Jade Empire 2, or KOTOR 3. Instead we just get a generic MMO with voice acting.

Nintendo for "forgetting their a video game company and not Fisher Price." -Yahzee

CAPCOM for their underhanded tactics involving their DLC.

Microsoft for upping the price for Xbox Live when they really should lowering it or subscripting for people who ONLY want to play online and dont care about nonsense like Netflix.

I could go on and on.....

I really want to get hold of Gearbox, and slap them for the upcoming Brothers in Arms game. I hate that they've marketed Furious 4 as a Brothers in Arms game. It has about as much sense as making Half life Episode 3 about a pacifistic gardener whose main gameplay is taking photographs of the Combine and headcrabs, and selling them to the G-man for seeds to plant.

I don't hate the game, it looks like some mindless fun, a shameless rip-off of Inglorious Basterds, and it may well be a good game, but it's not a Brothers In Arms game, it has nothing to do with the franchise, with the feel of the other games. It completely destroys and spits on everything it's prequels worked so hard to achieve.
I know, no Matt Baker=No buy. I love that series.
Agreed. The Brothers in Arms series was the one WWII shooter for me that really addressed the human cost of war. Each squad member had their own identity and personalities that made me really care for their well-being. When they started getting picked off one by one, I felt genuinely sad over their deaths. Now they've been replaced with a bunch of psychotic, douchebag Duke Nukem wannabes.

Why would you willingly sabotage your own series, Gearbox? Don't you see that this is only pissing off fans of the series?

The new X-COM remake gets honorable mention too. Even though I've only recently been introduced to the series, I can already see how it's a slap in the face to longtime fans.

Well, we both seem to be pissed over the same things. We both want our series that show the human side of war not to be sabotaged by the creators. In Valkyria Chronicles 3's, it was releasing to the PSP and not marketing the prequels. In Brothers in Arms' case, it's the publishers ditching the loved characters, and replacing them with a shitty version of the Wild Bunch. We seem to have that in common.

Bioware...not only for Dragon Age 2 but also for Mass Effect 2. When it comes to ME2 though it's for the petty reason of having ammo instead of the temperature gauge from Mass Effect. Also why are Grenades a class skill?! Bioware better fix that in number 3 although after looking at a screenshot of ME3's level up screen/ ability screen it seems grenades are still a class skill instead of an item to be used at any time s long as you have one or two or however many is the most you can hold. Dragon Age 2...I just didn't like it. I loved Origins because I could play as an Elf or a Dwarf. DA2 felt a lot like Mass Effect which I really liked.

Man, I was excited as hell when you said a new brothers in arms game and looking at the trailer, i'm going to want to get it because it looks fun as hell but where the hell is my closure to the story they started?

SLAPPING IS WARRANTED

Capcom/cavia, for giving Darkside Chronicles that horrendous jitter cam. I can't frickin' aim with that thing waving around however it wants. Pro tip to anyone making a rail shooter of all games--do NOT have jitter cam, EVER!

I wanted to do that to whoever was on the development team for Star Wars: Force Unleashed 2, every single second I was playing the game. The only reason I finished it was because it was gift from my brother who new that i liked the first Force Unleashed.

Another company is Bioware, because I'm only 2 hours away from their headquarters. But I don't want to stop at a slap. I want to buy 500 boxes of Hamburger Helper, and catapult them at their writing department.
I agree, although I don't think flinging Hamburger Helper at them is going to help any.
My main concern is the Mass Effect series. What I think they should've done, considering they were planning the thing to be a trilogy from the beginning (or so they said) was develop the complete story that would span all 3 games during pre-production of the FIRST game and divide it up accordingly. Then if and when the first one is successful and it comes time to make the second you already have the story done and don't have to scramble to figure out how to continue it. Because I get the distinct impression that that's exactly what they did (the latter, I mean).

I believe it's for this reason that certain parts of Mass Effect 2 were in contradiction to what was established in the first Mass Effect. And no I'm not talking about the heat sink ammo thing or whatever, those are gameplay elements and another issue entirely; I'm talking about where Sovereign says that the Reaper's purpose is beyond our understanding (by "our" meaning biological life-forms), but then in ME2 they whip out the Human Reaper. So the Reaper's purpose is reproduction? How is that beyond our comprehension? Reproduction is a basic need for all living biological organisms, so if that's their purpose surly we biological life-forms can understand that.
Well lemme point out 2 things:
1: I'm assuming you don't know who the new senior writer for Bioware is:

Her name is Jennifer Hepler, and she's the main reason DA 2 was practically a JRPG, and the reason I want to fling 500 boxes of Hamburger Hepler at the Bioware writing 2 things.

2: Probably due to Hepler and the rest of the writing staff, they're probably making it up as they go, rather than planning it out.
So that's what happened...

I google'd that name. Guess what the second result was? [http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/141/index/6661321/1]

Now that I know this, I'd like to slap Bioware in the face for being a game company who hired a person who doesn't like to play games, even if it is for the writing position.

I'd also like to slap Capcom. I probably don't even need to say why, but it has something to do with a third installment of the third series starring a certain kid in blue armor...

Then... let's see... all those damn developers that put black bars on the split screens. Why? To make it more even? Let me tell you something, I have zero problem with screen stretch when it comes to split screen. I know we all have widescreens now and it looks kinda funny to make everyone fat, but when playing splitscreen I'm not exactly going for the optimal effect, now, am I? Fucking split the screens right, or don't split them at all.
she should be fired you have to like games to work on them well even if you are a writer start working on novels i mean come on you dont have to be good or a major hardcore gamer but you should atleast have fun playing the games

Speaking of Half Life....

I really want to curb stomp Valve for taking so damn long with the HL Eps. When they released Episode 1, didn't they say that they were doing that to shorten the time between releases? And now it's been 3 years since Ep2 and we STILL have yet to hear anything about Ep3. Even Halo to Halo 2 didn't take that long and they made that game from scratch!

I'd like to slap Square/Disney for making Kingdom Hearts: Whatever-The-Fuck-That-Number-Was-Days such a piece of shit and a waste of time, although they almost, almost made up for that with Birth by Sleep. Almost feels like most of the development went toward BbS, and Days was made as a quick cash grab (perhaps to fund BbS's development?), especially since
BbS had a more relevant and impactful plot, and revealed MORE about Roxas than a game FUCKING STARRING ROXAS!

I'd also like to give a small slap to Atlus, because despite being awesome and bringing lots of games to the US, they STILL haven't localized Shin Megami Tensei (and SMT II) on the SNES. Bringing Catherine is pretty sweet, bringing the "lost chapter" of Persona 2 is kinda cool, and I guess a sequel to Devil Survivor is OK (although I still need to get around to buying Devil Survivor), but I REALLY want to see SMT localized. Couldn't they have been doing that instead of a slightly upgraded version of Devil Survivor?

Unless Atlus is secretly working on SMT and is keeping it under wraps until some massive, awesome reveal, in which case, woo! Go Atlus!

There's an Indie game that recently came out whose writer needs a beating...

in Dead Block Rock n Roll is apparently so evil it brings the dead back to life but,

to complete each level you must play Rock n Roll to kill them all and win...

Valve, listen.

The Backburner doesn't need a buff, the 100% crit chance is good enough.

What? You added a fucking damage increase? Get rid of it.

No, don't decrease the nerf by 5%, get rid of it entirely.

No, don't decrease the nerf by 5%, get rid of it entirely.

Oh, now you give it an airblast!?

No Valkyria Chronicles 3? I'm going to cry now.

Ok, done.

When EA does online pass exclusive multiplayers. Makes me want to bolt a burning frying pan to their face.

Every single time I think about Half-Life 2: Episode Three and how long its been since we've heard info of it, I want to scream at Gabe Newell, "WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING?!!!"

Seriously, have you guys seen the Half-Life 2: Episode Two forums on Steam? It has truly sunk to an all time low. And it's not the fault of the fans ... they have nothing else to talk about!

Oh God, I hate when they do that. I was playing Time Crisis 3 on PS2 and decided to try multiplayer. Instead of smushing the two screens lengthwise, they put black bars on the top and bottom to preserve the aspect ratio. I suppose it makes sense since it's a lightgun game, but there's one problem:

It's a lightgun game.

This means you're going to be playing on a fairly small, 4:3 CRT TV, making it hard as hell to aim at things and see what you're shooting. If this was a modern widescreen TV, you could just set the TV to "Zoom" and make it fit right, but lightguns don't work on modern TVs. Basically, you have to put up with tiny-ass targets for your lightguns, resign yourselves to using standard controllers on a big TV, or pray to God you or your friend has a widescreen Cathode Ray Tube TV (if such things even exist.)

The new x-com team, clearly you´re not making an x-com game, you´re making another bland fps and slapping the x-com name on it to sell more, dicks.

Much as I hate Yahtzee's Nintendo bashing, he's right. These are the same guys who would go and make it possible to collect a ton of lives in Super Mario Galaxy when most of it is easy enough to make it past without too many lives, let alone have a life system in the first place.

These are also the same guys that would go and include a DVD tutorial on how to play SMG2, when the package also has a instruction manual that tell you what you need to know in the first place.
