In Fallout 3 I killed the guard outside of Rivet City and then picked up his body and tossed him off the bridge. From that point on, every time I left Rivet City his body would spawn in midair and then fall into the water, as soon as his body hit the water the game would freeze, forcing me to abandon the character because I could never leave Rivet City ever again.

Oh, and honorable mention goes to Separation Anxiety for SNES (the beat-em-up sidescroller where you play as Venom from Marvel). I was killed by the first boss, but before I died I called in Captain America for a special attack. The attack killed the boss and I came back with infinite lives.

Need for Speed Most Wanted, the cops best weapon against you is to crash the game to the desktop as soon as it looks like you're going to get away with a huge bounty score.

I once borrowed Command & Conquer from a friend and planned to hold it while cycling home. Anyway, the box ended up falling on the street, opening. The disc came rolling out in what seemed to be slow-motion, travelled for about 10 meters, after which it was brutally mutilated by a passing car, ending up in a million pieces scattered across the street.

Oh that was not what u meant by breaking it?
Oh well, I think it should count :)

I scared Left 4 Dead 2 back to the main menu when I was playing with the developer console.
I'll put it this way; throwing a molotov at about 200 witches isn't something the game's ready for.
It also makes a really loud noise. As 200 screeching women should, I suppose.

Morrowind (Elder Scrolls III) broke after I made a Levitate +500 and a Speed +500 scroll and used it in a cave. It sent me 300 years into the void of gamelessness, and I never found my way out.
(The void of gamelessness is everywhere that isn't there in a game. Think Super Paper Mario, except blank)

Resistance 2 on Online Co-op. The Chimera were just standing there never dying, so we all soaked up the XP
I've have that too. It was a Titan that got tangled up with a car and never died. Everybody hit the XP limit and quit. The host stayed so we could leave and rejoin.

Fallout has glitched more times than I'd like to recount (mainly freezing during VATS), but the most recent has been Assassin's Creed 2 refusing to give me achievements for the final memory completion. Damn it, why can't I replay memories?!
That or Garry's Mod. I went on a server, found it was glitched, got over 500 coding errors in 5 seconds, then when I reloaded the game all the default weapons were gone. Thankfully I'm a noob so I just went back to vanilla and I lost nothing.

But anyway, my mom broke my modern warfare 2 on the first day I got it.
As in "NO SON OF MINE WILL BE A TERRORIST" *Disk Snap*

Or just a console fail?
Console fail. I told her about the terrorist thing and she was like "cool".
Ha, I let my friend borrow World At War back in the Summer. He left his PS3 running with it in while we went and did something else. He went back later to find the console had broken, with my disc in it. Cue a month of waiting.
Happy ending, though. He got a brand new 60GB from support and the disc is back unharmed. I just don't like the game so he's still got it.

In AC2 I double bladed a couple of guards on the rooftops of Venice...

Only for another 2 to appear. OK, funny bug, dual stab them...

Another 4 appear. I now just keep hammering X.

And about 25 appear in a few seconds, all spawning out of the middle guy, I've dropped to about 15FPS, so I decided to dive away. I had to run quite away before the FPS picked up again though.
Oh hey, that's the glitch I had! I got it during the Carnivale, trying to do the assassination side-mission where you follow the gondolier. Happened twice. It was pretty funny, I just kept hammering "Assassinate" until I desynced due to detection.

I broke flying travel in World of Warcraft once. I clicked my destination in the dialog window when talking to the flight master, my character disappeared and rematerialized on a wyvern and then... nothing. After a while I try moving and I realize that I am in control of the wyvern, so I went and visited Iron Forge riding my new awesome mount before the bug ended. The only thing I couldn't do was fly. It was awesome.
My friend got this "flying bug" twice.

I also climbed on some scaffolding in the Lost Coast techdemo for HDR in HL2, reaching heights not meant to be traversed, and I was treated with a lot of invisible walls.

Banjo Kazooie Nuts and bolts, I got my plane stuck in a giant gear in Nutty Acres (don't feel like explaining hah) and I couldn't get it out. I used the 'hold Y to summon' trick and got it back, but the gears still weren't moving. I was worried that LOG would yell at me haha.

Assassains creed 2, i hiddenbladed two gaurds in the face, then another before his weapon was out or his friends had hit the ground, then the ps3 just frose, this happens every time I stab someone brfore his 2 friends have hit the ground, but since I've finished the game now it doesn't really matter.
I found that my copy of the game never froze until I finished the game, then it would randomly freeze. I came to the conclusion that it was just that file so I started again, my new file never froze, but my first file stopped freezing as well. Pretty weird.

In MW2 me and a mate were doing spec ops. I managed to jump on top of his head and then I accidentally threw a grenade. We both ran out of the place where we were hiding and I jumped. Somehow I got lodged inside this small place and I couldn't get out. That was really frustrating aswell because we couldn't finish the mission.
