"It's time to... SIGN THE TIMESPLITTERS 4 PETITION NOW!"


The petition reads as follows:

"To: Crytek UK
Since Crytek has taken over Free Radical Design, there has been no news on whether the company (now known as Crytek UK) will continue developing TimeSplitters 4. As a fan of the other 3 TimeSplitters games, I would be sad to not see another installment in the series that is in the same style as the others. I hope by writing this petition many people will sign it and Crytek UK will take notice and continue developing TimeSplitters 4.

Crytek UK have stated if the the market [http://www.destructoid.com/if-the-market-demands-a-weird-fps-crytek-uk-is-ready-for-it-144533.phtml] demands a new Timesplitters, [http://www.psxextreme.com/ps3-news/5695.html] they may deliver it.
Well, one way to create demand is to sign the petition I guess. Around 3640 signitures at the time of writing, but I really recommend signing it if you want TS4.

Yes we need a new Timesplitters. Timesplitters beats the living crap out of Halo, Gears of War and all the other generic crap shooters these days. Despite owning an Xbox 360, I still play my PS2 more simply for Timesplitters Future Perfect.

The Timesplitters series, IMO, are the best local multiplayer games around so I don't understand why they haven't decided to make a fourth one.

I'm not much of an FPS fan, but I was considering what was my favourite FPS.
After flying straight over Halo, GoW, CoD and Killzone (not that it compares by the Xbox fanboys standards), the result was Timesplitters 3.

It has humour, an interesting and replayable storyline, loads of characters, good weapons, challenges, good maps... what more do you want from an FPS?

I prophesize Doom for this. Extremely few franchises have maintained success beyond the 3rd title. Even if they do make it to a 4th title, most people are sick of them by then.
