The little collect ables scattered around maps. Really break the flow of a game when you kill all the bad guys and spend five minutes getting on a ledge just to grab some power up.
I dont see why everybody hates the regenerating health. any game i ever hated was becuase I always seemed to get stuck in a closet with a fraction of my health bar left and a hallway ahead of me with infinitly spawnng enemies. Oh thats another thing i hated infinite spawning enemies.

Yeah, I'm starting the game again for the fifth time, I KNOW WHAT I'M DOING. It really kills starting a replayable game again.
Another one I hate (even though it's not widely used) is "I'm too old to quest in this sequel now. I'll send my child with my best friend's child (who was incidentally in the first game with me, too)". I HATE the idea of the children going to save the world. It's like badly-written fan fiction. This is what makes me a bit apprehensive about Golden Sun 3, much as I loved the first two games.

Fucking crates and barrels. Honestly, how many times have you actually seen crates and barrels in your life, much less have entire stretches of city strewn with them??
Male protagonists who are on a quest to rescue their kidnapped wife, get info on their missing wife, or went over the deep end cause their wife is DEAD.
I'm not sure if I agree with "non regenerating health". Automatic regeneration can kill even the most hardcore rpg by resulting in the party sleeping after every single combat encounter to regain hp and mp. I prefer good resource management over hp regeneration.
The health bar came first, so respect it. I actually get more pissed at the regenerating health. Weaklings running for cover when the screen gets too blurry. Back in my day, when we had our asses handed to us, and only had two health left, we fucking upped our game! Pansies.
Humans being the good guys all the damn time with no, I repeat NO point where their authority is even questioned. I suppose people just like to pretend that the human race really is the best thing ever and not the planet polluting, over eating, dogmatic, savage, mindless, fundementally insane, exploitative moronic pagans that they really are*.

Vehicle sections in FPSes. Maybe that's just me, but I thought it was complete bullshit in COD5 where I was the only tank (along with soldier) in the whole Soviet army fighting off a couple divisions of the German army. Where were the other 5 million soldiers I wonder.
