btw, i dont know how to quote properly butThe not regenerating health thing makes you be more conscious of how you can approach a situation. There is nothing more rewarding than going into a massive firefight with 3 health and no Armour left, only to emerge by the skin of your teeth without taking that last shot to the torso that would have sent you all the way back to the checkpoint.
if you get really far through the firefight but by random chance one of the enemies happens to have a gun (what are the chances) then you are bound to take a hit and will be forced to play from the checkpoint again.
alternatively what woem said was totally right, health regen in rpg's is a killer.
