This is my story from the original thread, and all I have to say is I'm glad that we helped make your life better, and remember that the escapist will crush all things idiotic(as long as it doesn't require more than a post or two=-) ).hearty0 said:Oh and my story is that fact I'm mildly eccentric(If I build a home it MUST have a vault door like in the fallout series), and am usually considered the nerd/creep of most of my classes. Anyways I hope that you have realized that here at the escapist we shall shield you from the bastard/religious nuts of the internet.

I'm not on the same level of weird that you are Neon. You just have a natural ability in being odd.Neonbob said:Oh, I know you're weird. You babble with me, after all.ShockValue said:Yes, I am very weird, as well. I won't go into all the details. Just take my word for it.
I have to say that you have an awesome feature, then. Maybe it's difficult living with your eyes, but I've always thought that having red eyes would be cool. Still, I hope that your situation improves. Your parents should realize sooner or later that you are still their daughter, and that the color of your eyes is not that big a deal.Suiseiseki IRL said:I was born with naturally red eyes (Ocular Albinism) yet my right is darker than my left (which is also my worst eye). All my life I have been called a "witch", a "demon", and "the daughter of Satan" by people who saw my eyes. My parents were banned from their church because of this, and they've never forgiven me for it.
Hey, I gotta have something going for me to separate me from the herds of normal white people. If it's my psychobabble, so be it.ShockValue said:I'm not on the same level of weird that you are Neon. You just have a natural ability in being odd.

What is it that sets you apart from others? Tell us in detail.
For those of you who don't know my story:
I was born with naturally red eyes (Ocular Albinism) yet my right is darker than my left (which is also my worst eye). All my life I have been called a "witch", a "demon", and "the daughter of Satan" by people who saw my eyes. My parents were banned from their church because of this, and they've never forgiven me for it.
This changed (somewhat) in 2004 when I had to get corrective lenses for my left eye which was becoming worse, and contacts were my only option. I wanted to get a different colored iris to hide my left eye so my optometrist decided to make it green since green is the opposite of red on the color spectrum. So I ended up looking like Suiseiseki prior to Rozen Maiden. This was not a problem until I enter high school 3 years ago, and by then a few had seen RM. So then I became the laughing stock of my school. This continues to some degree, yet actions I have taken that were reccomended by so many of you here on the Escapist have caused some drastic changes.
The scribbling on my locker has ceased, however the occasional practical joke does rear its ugly head from time to time. My confidence in has grown, and my self-esteem is greater than it has ever been(all thanks to everyone here *kiss+hug*). My parents continue to ignore me, yet this doesn't seem to affect me as greatly as it did before.
Do I really need to give you an example? You've seen what Neon, and I babble about.Guitar Gamer said:hey shock and please, do tell us why you think your what the "normals" call wierd
Well I guess being a psychopath, does set you apart.Neonbob said:Hey, I gotta have something going for me to separate me from the herds of normal white people. I just wanted to start another one. And technically it isn't like the old thread. Back then my life was quite miserable, but things have changed.chronobreak said:Um, did the other thread get locked, and if so, why? If not, why didn't you bring up the old thread, why do we need two? Just curious.
People said that about the old thread. I'm just someone who enjoys reading and getting to know other people.superbleeder12 said:for some reason.... my trolldar is going off.

Cool, it's just you could have just updated the old thread. You are kind of making an assumption the the internet is heavily invested in you, therefore making multiple threads about your personal dilemma. I am glad things are going well for you, I just don't see how it applies to much discussion, besides in a kind of self-centered format. You kept your head up high, and for that, I am happy, dude. Keep it up.Suiseiseki IRL said:I just wanted to start another one. And technically it isn't like the old thread. That must be depressing... not being able to smell the wonderful smells the world has to offer. Does this affect your sense of taste as well? Have you always been this way?Ultrajoe said:I typed up a very long post, and then the browser decided to refresh.
I'm not re-typing it: I'm Anosmic, I have no sense of smell.
That's all you really need to know anyway.
