Wow...Really? I thought we lived in the 21st century, not the fucking dark ages...
Yeah thats my point. Humanity apparently walked out of this demon and with nonsense like 400 years ago. I suppose its too much to expect that everyone managed to get into the 21st century

Still, Jesus loves you, especially for not being bitter and hateful to the people who have wronged you.

As for my story, I am fat. No matter how much I diet and exercise this does not change. So in my first year of High School I got a lot of malicious fat jokes thrown my way. All I had to do was laugh and retort with an even more scathing joke about the person who insulted me. Jokes about my weight stopped about halfway into my freshman year because I laughed it off.

See, I would have kept the red eyes, even with contacts or glasses, and just ran with it. "You callin' me a Demon? Yeah, I am fucking demon." Martial arts and weapons clasess would have been, and still are, a must. Information like "Human flesh, when cooked, tastes like pork" is useful, especially if you make them think you know that first-hand, and not just from a book. Other then that, if you can't take it, get different colored contacts, and dye your hair. If you can, then good-on-ya'.

That's about it. High-school will be done soon, and when you get to College, all that shit ends (unless you go to a cruddy college). I mean, just today, my dorm-mates and I ran around our dorm shooting people with Nerf guns yelling "John Luc (Luke) has infected the dorm!" Also, we have an open furry on campus, who walks around with clothes that say "Furry," and he wears a collar. No-one cares. That's just what he's like.

That's just... despicable. On everyone's part. I have no idea what church your parents attended, but they're in need of some sense. Still, I'd recommend going back and getting a non-coloured lens, or getting both coloured, for consistency's sake.

Honestly though you shouldn't be ashamed of what has happened because other people are imbeciles and narrow-minded simpletons. Ignore them if possible, and be sure to feign indifference to their harassment. Laugh at the jokes as best you can, and never ever let anyone see you upset about it. It's hard, I've done it before, and it takes a while, but if these idiots figure out that their torments are having no effect, they'll get bored or distracted by something shiny and move on. If you are comfortable with who you are, they will figure out that you're not a freak, you've just got red eyes.

Should these efforts fail, or prove to be impossible, then get out. Get out as fast as possible. Call social services, extended family, anybody, and leave. Your parents obviously need to learn something, and leaving will both remove their foolishness from your life and will teach them that you cannot act this way to their own child and not expect repercussions. They have no right to do so, and you must show them this.
Misreport on Yassen's post.

As a christian, I'm sorry you are treated like that, especially by the church. I was/am the weird kid for several reasons. One is the fact that I would be the one to talk to you if you went to my school. I judge people by who they are not by how they look; in this day and age that's uncommon it seems. Also, I was considered weird for the fact that I fit into both the "nerd" and "jock" demographic. I was a 4 year starter on the football and soccer team; but my time out of school was mainly video games and Warhammer 40K. So I got a lot of "how did you beat me in that race? You're a nerd!" or "how are you so smart? You're a football player". My high school did not warmly welcome people who were openly gamers, and sense that's what I spent most of my time doing, I never really fit in.

Okay I gotta say having red eyes is the most bad ass thing I can think of. And the fact that it got your family kicked out of church makes it even more bad ass. If you family was/is a hardcore religious family I would make them think you we're some kind of demon. I find messing with religious people to be hilarious tho, every religious door to door people I talk to I say I'm a Satan worshiper. Makes me laugh that some people actually believe this hoopla.

was he catholic?
He is the pastor of a church with a name that not even I can remeber it's so long. It's a splinter group of a splinter group of a splinter group of catholicism or christianity or some other religion. My parents will never talk to me about it (if at all) so I don't know.

I wish my church had banned my parents. I would've had a much happier childhood.

In that sleeping in on Sunday would have made me a happy child.

Your parents blamed you for the church thing? It was their genes that gave you red eyes, they should be punching themselves in the genitals. Stupid parents, bring the devil child into the world. That's what you should say to them. Blame them right back. Them and their stupid genes. Then punch them in the genitals with your demon power.
I try not to push them. They still let me stay in the house. Even if I can't eat at the dinner table and am banished to my room.

If I do so I would probably end up on the streets.

Not really, i live in a world where the average adult is less intelligent than me, if people don't talk to me constantly, i waste less time being amazed by how low the standards of intelligence have dropped

Wow that's pretty harsh, I can't imagine my parents doing anything like that.

My parents do not beleive in genetics. Apparently the church they used to go to must have brainwashed them into beleiving that Jesus determines how you look.

I'm sorry, but the people around you are idiots who fuck around with false Christianity. I'd understand it a bit more with Hinduism, or any other reincarnation-based religion, but...
Ugh...

Yeah, College will be better; if you go to an all-women's college, though, your eyes might get you the attention of lesbian anime nerds...

Oh, and did I mention that I started college at 14? That gets a lot of awkward, albeit often positive, attention. Its just that I get from a lot of people that I should go back to highschool. I get it even now, at 17, just 'cause I'm listed as having started at a young age.

You should write a book about what has happened to you. I guarantee if more people knew, you'd find far more support outside your town.
You really must've hit the wrong place to be born. I'm so sorry for all that's happened to you. I bet when you get older, you'll be able to find so much more outside than if you're stuck in that hoe-dink home where you live. No offense to yourself.
Personally, I think that the most beautiful people in the world are the most unique. I hate that people think they have to all conform to a single visage. I also hate the people that support this, and...ARRGH! It's getting hard to write without breaking something.
Also, I'm gonna grow up to be the anti-christ, you don't have to worry about that ;)

Are you tired of being the weird person that no one will talk to? Tell your tale and/or thoughts:

I was born with naturally red eyes (genetic defect) yet my right is darker than my left (which is also my worst eye). All my life I have been called a "witch", a "demon", and "the daughter of Satan" by people who saw my eyes. My parents were banned from their church because of this, and they've never forgiven me for it.

This changed (somewhat) in 2004 when I had to get corrective lenses for my left eye which was becoming worse, and contacts were my only option. I wanted to get a different colored iris to hide my left eye so my optometrist decided to make it green since green is the pposite of red on the color spectrum. So I ended up looking like Suiseiseki prior to Rozen Maiden. This was not a problem until I enter high school 3 years ago, and by then a few had seen RM. So then I became the laughing stock of my school.

Now they call me a "nerd" and a cosplayer" and that I dyed my hair brown (which I didn't). My reputation is so trashed at school that no one will talk to me except for my boyfriend will talk to me. I have to keep Clorox wipes in my locker because someone writes "Desu" all over my locker every day. It gets even worse when I get home, where my parents want nothing to do with me.
Bloody hell! thats absolutely wicked! (in the positive sense of the term). I wish I had red eyes. No wait on second thought, ignore that last part. That would have made the werewolf comments last for years. You see Im probably the hairiest guy you would ever see, I was born with a full head of hair and had to start shaving in the 7th grade. I was bullied until the 8th grade because I was so hairy. That is until one day I had enough and my temper broke out. The kid never went near me again, and the bullying stopped, lest anyone else get the shit beat out of them. Anyway, why not just go with your natural eye colour? If anyone thinks you are still cosplaying, the hell with them. And at the risk of sounding cliche', "you are you and not anyone else, so why not be the most awesome you you can be, and screw what others think."

Go to college. Go to college early if you have to. It's so much better there.

I have a speech impediment, so I was assumed to be retarded, gay, or both. I was thrown out of the advanced classes (even though I scored in the 98th percentile on the standardized tests) and I occasionally got beat up. Fortunately the same neural problem that gives me a speech impediment also made me immune to pain which give me edge against my attackers and allowed me to win some really impressive fights.
