I've never found heterochromia weird, mostly because my mother has it. One eye is blue, the other is green three quarters of the way around and brown for the other quarter.

Are you tired of being the weird person that no one will talk to? Tell your tale and/or thoughts:

I was born with naturally red eyes (genetic defect) yet my right is darker than my left (which is also my worst eye). All my life I have been called a "witch", a "demon", and "the daughter of Satan" by people who saw my eyes. My parents were banned from their church because of this, and they've never forgiven me for it.
Excluding the Christian part (I assume anyway), I personally would kill (metaphorically speaking) to have Red Eye Colour. Blaming you is the worst thing a parent could do, Its genetic after all, surely they should blame part of themself for having in their DNA Code.

On Topic: Although I wouldnt like to be the "School-Yard Worm Eating" weird, bein' wierd is what makes us different. I've never been wierd but I have always been different. People would hate me simply because I kept looking young even today at 18 I look 15 (only taller) or they'd hate me simply because of the birth defect upon my legs. Born with transparent skin, lost my brother before birth, skin grafts etc. now theres scars all over my kneecaps. its either those or no legs and I'd much prefer legs.

As a off-set, My eyes are always changing from Blue-Yellow-Green-Brown depeding on my mood. not 1 eye but both at the same time. pain in the arse at times...

EDIT: I also have some wierd ability to see extremly far distances with my right eye focused more then usual.

This changed (somewhat) in 2004 when I had to get corrective lenses for my left eye which was becoming worse, and contacts were my only option. I wanted to get a different colored iris to hide my left eye so my optometrist decided to make it green since green is the pposite of red on the color spectrum. So I ended up looking like Suiseiseki prior to Rozen Maiden. This was not a problem until I enter high school 3 years ago, and by then a few had seen RM. So then I became the laughing stock of my school.

Now they call me a "nerd" and a cosplayer" and that I dyed my hair brown (which I didn't). My reputation is so trashed at school that no one will talk to me except for my boyfriend will talk to me. I have to keep Clorox wipes in my locker because someone writes "Desu" all over my locker every day. It gets even worse when I get home, where my parents want nothing to do with me.
Yeah, I'm kinda with the people who say that your eyes sound cool.

Anyway, listen up, cos this is the truth. School is gonna be hell, you may as well just accept it. You are around jerks, there is nothing you can do. See Im tall, and when I was in school, I was real skinny too. Not a good look. And Im not saying I was kinda tall, I nearly 7ft. I'm REALLY big. So I got the people staring. Im sure I get the same as you with people saying "omg your so tall", and Im like "yeah... no shit Sherlock, I figured that out a while ago". There is nothing you can do about this.

How ever collage is different, people kinda accept you for how you are, so yes, its gonna be a ball ache at the moment, and no one will like you, but you know, fuck em.

No offence but your parents suck and their church is fucking stupid (The people there not the actual religion).

Red eyes? Cool. But still people girlling you for a genetic defect sucks arse.

I got so tired of people being inexplicably unable to understand when I said "yes" or "no" in a standard talking voice that I now talk in a somewhat emotionless robotic droning voice at all times. I hope that people are unnerved by this.

I love being the weird person. I've dyed my blonde hair ginger and had it cut short, and now I'm changing my clothes so I stand out even more.

And yet people still approach me in the street to hand out fliers or chat about charity *headdesk*

It doesn't matter what you do, short of threatening them with a shiv, they'll still bug you about that crap. Heck, many higher people to hand out their "free magazine" or "free newspaper" that nobody wants. Unfortunately, they generate a lot of litter too.

@ Suiseiseki IRL:
Red eyes... So cool! I'd love to see a picture of them, just to see what it looks like, out of curiosity. Oh wait, I can! GOOGLE!
*Alas, Google has failed me. Still pretty neat though, unfortunately, your personal curse at home.

I haven't been considered "weird" since High School. Back then I was the quiet kid in the corner that kids whispered about... Such as "Is he going to go insane and shoot up the place?"

Fortunately, I've been blessed to be mostly normal. The alternative was Autism, which runs very strongly in my family. I got lucky to dodge that bullet. (Both of my brothers and my father suffer from it in either its full blown form, or the lesser form of Aspbergers)
So, if you happen to be "normal", embrace it! You could be far worse off...

While I agree red irissis are extremely (as in, really bleeding extremely) rare it's (when it comes down to it) nothing more than a complete lack of pigmentation. Possible, if nothing else.

(also, creating a thread or making a post is usually what one does after creating an account :p)
Yes I agree its entirely possible, however the immediate admition of the inability to post a photo, the topic, the rarity and the fact that its a brand new user sort of stick out in my mind.

Anyway, I feel sorry for your situation, I dont have anything particularly unusual about myself. I do however have plenty of stories about my experiences at high school.

I was 13 when someone tried to stab me for the first time, knowing karate, I responded by smashing his head into a brick wall and he required eight stitches. This pretty much set the pace for the next 4 years of my life.

Due to events like that, idiots attacking me, I had a reputation of being extremely violent and anti-social all through high school. Luckily those who were intelligent enough to realise I was just defending myself became my friends who I'm still good friends with today.

Life gets better after high school, don't let it get to you.

you trust Wikipedia to be right? when a citation is needed before it is fact? there are far more cases of natural red eyes than twenty. come on, give her a go.
Sorry for a double post, I just wanted Zeeky to know that I had quoted him and don't know how to edit in a quote that will send the message.

I trust wikipedia to an extent, the citation needed is probably due to the fact that it doesn't exclude albinos from that list. I did say that I could be wrong, and did give the benefit of the doubt in my above post.

I've always taken to the philosiphy that even if someone is saying something rather unlikely- and no one is getting hurt- there is no need to have doubt.
If anything, it shows that they care about your opinion.

Like in first grade, a boy lied to me saying that he had "new pokemon games." G/S/C wouldn't come out for another few years at that point, and I knew he was lying. He looked so ashamed of himself when he admitted it, but I just told 'em to forget it and we never brought it up again.
Even if the OP is lying, there has been no malice or trolling, and its brought about good conversation. No real problem, either way.

Of course, this is Earth, and she's talking about an individual case, so I'll just as soon believe her.

I don't have any weird physical traits, I used to but I had extensive surgery because my wind pipe was too small. My personality and my being nocturnal are probably the weirdest things about me right now. I plan on getting bionic implants once they become viable and learning how to extract the toxin from blow fish so that I can become a cyborg-witchdoctor.

Don't let all those jerks bother you. If you show that you are not bothered by them and not ashamed of your eyes, they wont have much to say to you. Never let anyone else convince you that you should be ashamed of yourself.

When I was at school I was definitely on the bottom end of the 'cool ladder'. I moved up a bit when I started taking drugs* and going to parties. I initially bought the whole "sex, drugs & rock 'n' roll = cool" thing but very quickly decided that I really enjoyed it for itself and so started doing it a lot.
By the time I was 16 my rep as a stoner acid casualty really started to annoy me and in a fit of madness I decided to start doing martial arts and get fit for joining the army (which also meant I had to stop taking drugs) because I became very aggressive (mixing LSD and crack comedowns sends you a bit funny in the head). Strangely enough even fewer people in school talked to me. It took about a year drug free and then starting to smoke skunk again to get my brain out of it's aggressive fight obsessed phase.
Thanks to the drug thing most of my friends were from outside of school and my good schoolfriends put up with me so it didn't really cause a problem friend wise, other people in school I didn't care about anyway.

* I do not advise doing this.

Your church are a bunch of idiots. If your parents really haven't forgiven you for a biological condition you have no control over...in fact there is nothing to forgive. I do not wish to insult your parents, but really they are idiots if this is the case. If they want nothing to do with you and wont help you when you are having difficulties then they don't deserve to have children. Your boyfriend sounds like a great guy, stick with him.
The children at your school are idiots, a lot of children are, not much I can say to help, just don't let them see it's affecting you.

They still let me stay in the house. Even if I can't eat at the dinner table and am banished to my room.

If I do so I would probably end up on the streets.
After reading this I would say report them to child services. You are better off with a foster family if they treat you like that.

All because of Eye color? That really sucks dude. Meh, people are stupid, what are you gonna do? I would take red eyes over my boring 'ol brown ones any day.
What would you rather be:

A supposed cosplaying nerd, or a red-eyed demon child. (put some serious thought into it)
A red-eyed demon child, any day. Do you have any idea how much fun I could have with red eyes?
It's kinda typical(I never get anything cool) that you got the red eyes and I didn't(though your situation is very tragic and your parents and their "ex-church" just justifies and confirms my belief that the world would be better of without religion), might have solved you a lot of problems, and given me some serious shit to scare the hell out of people.
I'd be damned if I wouldn't mess with the local churches....a LOT ^_^

And have I mentioned that I think your red eyes are awesome?

red eyes huh? I'd love to see 'em. If it was me, I'd ridicule the people for not even knowing their religion. I am an atheist, but a well informed one, so I can easily use the bible quotes against christians XD Also, scaring people with "im the deviilll FWAHAHAHAHA!" would be amusing for me.

1st of all, you should stop wearing colored lenses. You're rather unique as it is, plus it's hard to find clothes that match both red and green XD Seriously, it must be obvious you're trying to hide something, especially if one of your eyes is red and the other green. That basically makes you a magnet for bullies. Oh and stop wiping "desu", it will annoy the writer XD

And where is this crazy town where high school kids actually care about religion? XD What happened to sex drugs and alcohol? XD
