Bridget gasped and stood up.
She's crying?
She cautiously walked to Cassandra and hugged her.
"It's okay. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you" she said, feeling bad about what she did.
I never meant to hurt her!

She sniffed, and looked into Bridget's eyes, a few tears remained in her eyes.
I'm sorry, but what you said, it just brought up painful memorys...
Cassandra said, her eyes now dark red, and her left eye now had a very bright red crescent glowing in it.
It's not your fault, I just have some bad experiences, and my foster parents called me evil...

"At least your parents knew you had powers. I had to run away and live a secret life" Bridge said sadly, remembering why and how she got to Britain.
"But the Teen Titans help out. You should join, it'd be nice to have some more power around"
bridget backed up and sat on the bed again, lighting a couple candles on fire and smelled the air.
"mmm, cookies"

You're lucky, I never even saw my parents, I don't even remember ten years of my live.
She said, laying on the bed, grabing a nearby pillow, and wrapping her body around it, looking at Bridget, and wiping away some of the tears. She adjusted herself, making her hair spread out behind her.

Bridget lay down beside Cassandra.
"The titan's can be your family now. I think Cat-Girl is older than you so she can be your mom" Bridget joked, turning her body so she could lean on one arm.
"I love those cookie candles"

I think you're mistaken, i'm 17, she looks alot younger than me.
She smiled, and hugged Bridget, putting her head over Bridget's shoulder.
Thank you, you seem to be one of the few people that I would call a friend, and I haven't had friends for a long time...
She blinked, and frowned.
Bridget... Could you tell me what color are my eyes? And is there a red crescent in the left one?

Bridget stared into Cassandra's eyes and nodded.
"It's in your left one...why?" she asked. She had become worried again.

 

[XThecommander]

Let me check it...
She walked over to the bathroom, and looked in the mirror, she gasped, and started backing away.
Why is it like this!? Its never been like this before.
Before she could finish her thoughts, she found herself about to black out, she stumbled towards the bed, and tryed to say something.
Bridget, whatever you do don't-
She fell onto the bed, her vision going black.

Bridget stared at Cassandra.
"Cassandra? Cassandra can you hear me?" Bridget yelled. She ran over to the door and looked out in the hall.
"HELP! We need HELP!" she screamed before running back to Cass.
don't...do what?
Bridget, tears streaming through her eyes, went to shake Cassandra. As her hands touched her shoudlers, Bridget blacked out and came to in a strange place.
"Cassandra?"she shouted looking around.

I'm here... But where are we?
She said, looking around, as the area began to light up a bit. They found themselves on a floating pathway, leading to a staircase that lead to the clouds.
Look! A staircase, it looks like the only direction we can head in, and on top of that it looks like it has a gate infront of it. Should we go to it?

Bridget saw the ascending staircase and quickly grabbed Cassandra's arm.
"I'm not going anywhere until I figure out what is going on. I'mm scared" Bridget responded, looking around into the black furiously.
Where are we? What's up there? Do my powers work? Is Cassandra doing this?

I think we are in my dreams, I was trying to tell you to not touch me, but you did...
She looked towards the staircase with confusion.
But why is my dream so realistic... This isn't just a normal dream, and I never had this happen before...
Listen, since it's a dream, my powers, and your powers won't work. I don't even think this is my dream to be honest.

"I'm powerless? Great." Bridget said while sighing. She held onto Cassandra's arm and followed her up the staircase.
In a dream?
"Sorry I touched you. I just thought it was safe or-" Bridget started before they got to the top.
What now?

They reached the top, and saw another small staircase, all aroud them was a vast sea of clouds. They could hear eachothers footsteps, as they echoed through the empty space. Up the small staircase was a shrine, a few pillars leading to an arch, with a podium under the arch.
What is this, wh-
So you have come Cassandra, good, I've been waiting for this day.
Cassandra gasped, as she saw a tall man, dressed like a nobleman, with a cloak that didn't even wrap around his large body. He had long white hair, and black boots that went halfway between his knee, and foot.
Who are you!? How do you know me?
You honestly don't remember me, I'm your father.
She backed away, and fell down, and staggered.
Fa... Father?
Yes my dear daughter, now is the time, the time to redeem yourself.
What do you mean!?

Bridget gasped and ran away from Cassandra.

She ran over to the stairs and started to cry while Cassandra and her father talked.

A gate sprang up behind bridget, as she ran down the stairs.
Bridget, wait!
Hanging on to strings? Don't worry, she can't exit this realm, she can't even exit that stairway. You see, the bottom is blocked as well.
What do you want from me!?
I wish to offer you a chance as a part of the family, a chance for redemption.
Redemption? What are you talking about? Is this even real?
It is my child, if you don't believe me, then here is a gift from me.
He said, as he threw a single knife, and it cut a small slit into her arm.
Don't worry, your friend is getting the same gift.
OW! Cassandra! Did you just throw that!?
No, I did that, it is mearly a gift to both of you, I didn't expect anyone but Cassandra, but I guess the other girl can stay, and listen to our conversation.
With a snap of his fingers, Bridget was beside her agian, but this time, she was in a metal cage, that was open at the top, but had no escape.

"They left me. I can't believe that they really left me." Dartor muttered as he finally stepped through the main door of the tower. Actually, he could believe it. Just the kind of bad luck for him to be left behind after his first battle with the others in their states of elation or unconsciousness.

What had been even worse was halfway back when his rocket boots had blown out and he had no choice but to wait for a city bus to come by. Well, at least he had some change in his pockets. Dartor didn't even bat an eye when he saw that the security system had thought he was 'Titans Member Gallant', he could only sigh resignedly. The system was state of the art true enough, but it wasn't even fully installed and kept coming up with errors. Dartor had been spending as much time as possible on it but it wasn't as if he got any help. The others probably hadn't even needed to register that one girl as a guest.

Dartor let out an exasperated sigh. He was too tired to deal with it anymore tonight and was just glad that the system wasn't shooting lasers (also half finished) at him. Dartor slipped off his still smoking boots and switched his mask back for his glasses as he headed into the common room.

Suddenly a scream cut through his exhaustion. The cry for help jolted Dartor into action as he rushed in the direction of the sound. Coming to one of the rooms (Dartor didn't exactly remember who's this was) he opened the door to see Fira and that unknown girl splayed out on the bed. Dartor's first reaction was to rush tot them but he caught himself in a moment saying, "Data first. Always Data first."

Dartor lightly tapped a specific place on his glasses causing a flurry of information to suddenly flow into his vision. Fira's temperature was too high, but that was normal. The powerful psycorecometric field surrounding the other girl was quite another story though. A thin power feed also connected Fira to the other girl.

Some kind of mental link? Dartor thought at a feverish place. Most likely. He would need better diagnostic equipment to find out for sure but he knew he didn't want to come in contact with that field.

Darter tapped a button on his watch and a holographic keyboard was projected in front of him. Tapping away rapidly he programed his subspace teliporter to zap them to his newly set up lab, such a jump probably wouldn't affect the link. After a second to warm up Darter suddenly jumped in place for a moment and was suddenly in his lab on the second floor of the tower. It was much smaller then his previous workspace but it was convenient.

The girls were ahead of him and he quickly used a self propelled robotic limb to lift them both onto his only examination tables. With a somewhat simple bio scanner set to sweeping the pair Dartor turned to deal with the computer.

"Security alert activate!" Dartor said. "Priority 1 full alarm! Activate quarantine procedures on this room under authority code: Boy Genius!" Dartor definitely didn't want anyone blundering in. If they needed access he could grant it, if Dartor was incapacitated as well then he definitely didn't want anyone else blundering in and also getting... whatever this was.

With the commands entered the security system did dutifully blare out it's alarm.
[HEADING=1]Alarm! Alarm! Party time is in effect! All occupants to assume brightly colored hats![/HEADING]

Dartor could only slap his face with his palm at the thought of why someone would even need such a setting. Well, at least it would wake the others.

Dartor turned back to the large computer display as some info began to come back. The first really good sign was that their brain waves were functioning normally. Well as normal as brain waves could be. Strangely enough though they were exhibiting the active state often seen by people experiencing a lucid dream.

Dartor wondered what he should do next as he personally began working the extensive keyboard personally guiding the bio scan.

Frost Knight was asleep in his room, reverted back to his normal form. His back was mostly fine although he had one or two bruises but it was not too painful. He was going to check on Fira and Black Rose but the effect from the running and fighting had taken a toll on him and head to his room and nods off.
He was woken up by Boy Genius alarm in a state of panic and confuse. It took a few more moment to full awake himself and fully understood what was the alarm was about.
"All right! Black Rose must of join us!!!" He shouted to himself.
As the alarm stated, he quickly open his closest to find a party hat. The only hat he found was the flimsy orange hat you get from Christmas crackle but it would have to do. He put it on and ran to the living room, where the party would normally be held at.
