Self-explanatory, and tell us why. Is it their ideals, some great friends from that religion, etc?

EDIT: Fine then, cuddly_tomato. To all NON-RELIGIOUS... my bad.

Buddhism as their belief system is very simple to understand and quite easy to implement - just be nice to everyone to break the cycle of pain. Clever really.

Buddhism; they're relaxed people and they don't come knocking at my door at 7:30 in the morning.

You said what I was going to say word for word. Atleast the buddhists are all about calming instead of coming in at an ungodly hour to worship a false figure.

Scientology, the comical factor mostly. I feel athiesm gets to appreciate scientology alot more than other beliefs.

Honestly, any religion which doesn't demand everyone has to be in their religion, because they need to be "saved" from themselves. There aren't to many religions like that >.<

I like any religion that doesn't pander its beliefs to others. Atheists have the same problem though (I am a silent atheist).

If I had to pick one, Lutheranism would probably win. They base getting to a good afterlife on good deeds throughout the entire life, not just asking for forgiveness and having all forgotten.

I want to say Buddhism, but I dislike this aura of pompousness that seems to come from the idea of Nirvana.

Yeah man I'm like that too. I only mention I'm an Atheist of someone really wants to know. I don't really like fighting with people about religion or trying to convert them because it's pointless.

taoism. cause its always hilarious in japanese anime when you have the crazy tao priest guys with magic trying to gain immortality.

or failing that... any personal faith that doesnt involve organized religion or at the very least.. doesnt involve harassing anyone about their decisions.

I'd have to say Buddhism mirrors my own beliefs the closest out of all the major religions.

That said, I fully endorse any religion whose premise is to generally be a "good" person, and which accepts the fact that some people aren't going to believe in their chosen idol and that they are not heathens, or infidels, or any other sort of negative term. I've yet to find any like that though, aside from the almighty Buddha :(

Buddhism ranks top for me, though it doesn't technically count since the theological element isn't TREMENDOUSLY relevant to the tenets.

I also have a soft spot for the more relaxed, modern Judaism, since it played a huge role in Western cultural and economic history, and most of the believers are even less serious about it than the average American is about Christianity.

I don't really care for any of them.

Also super_smash_jesus <3 for Steve Zissou. Also much <3 for biology. Also much <3 for Canadian. Also, much <3 for atheism.

Can't we call it people how don't believe in religion, instead of atheism?, it sound lame, and is kinda becoming a religion in itself..
Well on topic, I don't mind any religion who's never killed in the name of itself

I'd go for Hinduism and Buddhism as my favourites. They seem to have the best teachings(based on what I know from a year or two of RE classes), and seem the most sensible. I'm quite fond of christianity as well, but that may be the baptism speaking.

Aren't Buddhists atheists?
I imagine Buddhists would vote for Buddhist, as am I.

Id quite like the fundamentalist Christians with the earth is less than 10000 years old and fossils are a test of faith stuff... If they werent constantly trying inflict their beliefs on the rest of us, petitioning the government, pushid ID in schools, bombin abortion clinics etc.

It does take real effort to ignore evidence like that.
