To all Pokefans : Has anybody legitly caught them all?

Caught 'em all in Diamond.

Haven't really othered with doing it in White. I just sent over the pokemon i actually used in Diamond and the rest may follow one day just for the sake of 100% completetion, but it's not happening in the forseeable future.

ARceus? Darkrai? Cause those two were never made available.

Well, that may be so, but due to there never being any events here i got the event pokemon off GTS. Someone else might've caught them by means of cheating, but i did it in a way the game allows. (And i'd say i've legitly caught them all even though i used GTS since it's the only way for me to get the event pokemon)

I got them all while on holiday with my best friend. He had Red, I had Blue. We got to 151 within around about a day of each other.

Pokemon Red: No, I was like 9 when I played this game, BUT I beat the Elite 4 and caught Mewtwo.
Pokemon Yellow: Yes, all 151.
Pokemon Silver: All 250 (except Celebi, he was a Japanese exclusive).
Pokemon Ruby: Only the 202 that appeared in R/S/E.
Pokemon Emerald: Same as Ruby.
Pokemon LeafGreen: Yes, all 386.
Pokemon Pearl: Only the Pokemon that appeared in D/P/Pl, some legendaries, and all the Fire and Dragon-types.
Pokemon SoulSilver: Only Gen 1 and 2 (251) and some extra legendaries found in this game.
Pokemon HeartGold: Same as SoulSilver.
Pokemon Black: Never finished the Pokedex because it sucked (which is why I got HeartGold).

Collecting all the Pokemon in the first 3 Gens was fun and challenging, but after Gen 4, I was like screw this, and just stuck to completing the regional Pokedex.
Not to mention that I would need to PERMANENTLY get rid of Pokemon from one version to fulfill the Pokedex in another version.

I'm pretty much done with this series, as Black & White were such letdowns. Some people say, "Well, Grey will be better." Honestly, the ONLY way the third installment could be better is if they throw away the whole Unova Pokedex and start over with 100+ good Pokemon.

Yea, I agree (The next ones going to be called grey?? How lame.) The only good one in the Unova series was Reshiram, and my brother got him because i chose white.

Another thing, Does anybody else think Ruby/Sapphire remakes on the way? I hope they are.

[Well, it's rumored that they might release them after the third Gen 5 game (Grey version) comes out, but it's uncertain if they will still be on the Nintendo DS or the 3DS.

I'm sure it will be on the DS because the trend is always that a remake is released on the same handheld that the newest Gen was released on, but hey, they might surprise us all.]

For me, I just use the AR to obtain the item/conditions necessary to meet and capture the Pokemon. I wasn't aware of most of these events until much later, so this was the only way for me to complete the regional Pokedexs.

I did it in red, my brother had blue and has own gameboy so it wasn't a big deal to trade over the ones i'd missed.

I caught 150 in Red, I refuse to acknowledge event Pokemon that have to be hacked or glitched as part of the real roster and not just an annoying excuse to make more money from people coming to events. Event Pokemon are what killed the collection side of the games for me.

Other than that catching a shiny Ho-Oh completely legit was fairly impressive I guess, I did scream. A lot.

I disagree, I found it extremely satisfying! I liked the fact I'd caught them all, including Mew (possibly due to mild OCD) ^_^

I did it on Blue version way back when. I even got Mew legit, got her from a Nintendo roadshow thingy.

Almost did it on Silver too, only had 2 of the dogs and Celebi to catch; alas, it was never meant to be :'-(

Possible double post here so I apologise but as far as I've looked it up, there isn't going to be a third "Grey" for the B/W games, a spokesman at Nintendo was interviewed saying they are done with this gen now.

My mother was interested after enjoying White so much so I had a look for her into it, personally I find all of the games rather dull now. Lost their charm.

I got everything in generation 1 but after that I gave up im sorry but region specific events for certain pokemon is kind of just saying you don't get to catch them all end off.

In the games I tend to complete the regional dex only, and call it quits after that.

Throughout my DS playthroughs, I've gotten everything I could get legitimately (I currently have most of them on my Black), and I've gotten the ones that are impossible to get through Pokesav for competetive use.

With that said, I still Sav all of my battling teams, because I'm too lazy to EV train a shitload of Pokemon.

151 in Pokemon Red when it first came out. It wasn't as satisfying as I thought it would be, and I just started the game over after that.

I've gotten very close. I got most in Black and all in the previous games, just not all at the same time.

In the good old days, sure. I've god them all in Yellow version. In silver I've missed some legendary ones, like mewtwo.
