My family keeps horses, and I gotta say, eating them doesn't make sense to me.
Partly for a moral reason, and partly because they'd probably taste pretty bad.
They're muscular animals, built for speed and heavy lifting/ pulling, not eating.
More useful as pack animals or for riding, IMO.

I've eaten horse and it's pretty good. It's basically like beef, but a little sweeter. You can just get it at the butchers here.

As for other animals, I'd be willing to try anything. I still hope to try ants, scorpion, snake, dog and human before I die. Although the latter two might be tricky.

EDIT:

I would if I had to, but I think most of those non-predominant meats are non-predominant for a reason. Octopus/kalimari stuff like that, I would only eat if I was literally starving, cuz I think that stuff is truly barf-worthy, but that's just my taste. Horses, dogs, cats, ect, I think eating them is a waste, they are much more useful in their more predominant roles.
Dude, you're missing out. Deep fried squid tentacles and battered octopus rings are really yummy. Don't bother with jellyfish, though. Doesn't really taste like anything.

I've never had horse but it doesn't bother me that people eat. I want to try it now.

I don't object to eating cats/dogs either. Also kalimari is awesome.

I've never had the urge to try horse but I suppose I would try it if offered. I've eaten far weirder things. I think people who think those who eat horses are bad people is ridiculous.

Nobody that has ever eaten a horse is stalking horse farms, laughing malevolently, thinking "Mwahaha! Soon you will be in my tummy! Soon, I shall deprive Susie of her beloved pet! MWAHAHAHAH!"

Not to mention eating horses is extremely rare in western society. Most societies that use horses and similar animals as beasts of burden do not eat them for one reason or another.

FACT: The biggest exporter of horse meat, Argentina, doesn't eat it themselves. I personally would do it if i'm in a country where it's the norm, i'm not going outta my way to do it. And i'd much prefer if I was told after I ate it.

I love horse meat. It's inexpensive and tastes a little bit like game meat.
And there is no possible reason for eating it being morally/ethically wrong. It's not like we still need them to move around like in the nineteenth century.

The Quality/Price doesn't quite add up to it being a good choice, but I suppose there's nothing wrong with it. If you really have no better use for your money than expensive, bad meat then go for it.

I have eaten horse meat several times. It's pretty common as Hamburgerkött in Sweden. (We eat it on bread, like ham)

Makes for pretty tasty sausages, though not sure the price is worth it.

Edit: Oh yeah, and as above. Apparantly it's called Hamburgerkött (lit. hamburgermeat) because nobody would buy it under the name horsemeat.

People are crazy. I've eaten horse once and would do it again if it was easier to get your hands on. I'd probably eat most mammals out there. Crocodile is pretty yummy and stuff like ostrich and kangaroo is okay.

pig =/= hog. Pork is hog.
??

What?

Code:
The domestic pig (also swine, in some areas hog) is a domesticated livestock animal, farmed for its meat, known as pork (bacon, ham, sausages, etc.).
In my understanding, hog/swine/boar ect. is all pork. Pigs are significantly smaller and mostly kept as pets.

I find it odd that'd I get probation for posting just a link even though it has hundreds of words in it...
