To the people who don't pirate: Is life really so bad?

basically, all the pirate i have met, they SUCK as people. really. i just think it is all the horrible people that piratre, and their is really no excuse for mass games piracy.

Pirates are not gamers, they dont support the indistry, they are leaches and should be shunned as long as they are pirates, and reported to the autoroties, remember, if you knew about piracy and dont tell anyone that makes you an accesory.

I sense some sarcasm in there to be honest.

I download music since I don't always enjoy every song on a CD and I don't listen to much anyway. In all I owe like £20 if I'd bought the songs indivdually. If it's that big a deal I'll happily pay up if they come looking for it.

Life without pirating isn't so bad, but it could be a lot better because I mean free stuff who doesn't like that? Really though I don't get why everyone always gets so angry at people who pirate. I know its wrong and everything, but companies don't have to go to such extremes as suing people. Downloading a game here and there maybe because you can't afford it at the time or it isn't sold yet is just you giving into temptation. I know some of you wont agree with me, but just the way I see it.

It's irrelevant whether the company gets profit or not, or whether you would have bought it in the first place. The software rightfully belongs to the company. What right do we have to distribute it freely?

I used to pirate but I'm clean for lent. And I plan that even after lent I'm still going to quit downloading stuff.

One thing I did have a problem with was getting stuff on my iPod. I had movies that I wanted to watch on my iPod, but they were either not on iTunes or too expensive. I'm not going to pay an extra 10 bucks for something I already have.
