I guess this says a lot about me, but reading that makes me depressed.
Seconded, even though it's simply fantastic and I'm really happy for you guys, I'm kind of in the same situation (finally met a girl who really understands me, been lonely for whole my life, etc etc) but that defining moment still has to happen. I have no idea what she feels for me, I only know I simply want to be with her.

Wow. This is going to sound really corny. On Fridsy night, I was at a party, sitting in the kitchen, slowly working my way through a bottle of limoncello (I got dumped on Tuesday, I was still getting over it) and then she walked in and asked if there was any limoncello about. Then we both paused and looked into eachothers eyes...

It was this one unknown thing that made me crazy about her. Whatever it was, it always just made me happy to be with her and she felt the same and so we have been great for each other so emotion brought us together I suppose.

Because I didn't want to break up with her. That's the Reader's Digest version of the Reader's Digest version, so trust me, it's more romantic than it sounds...I'd go into detail, but I need to go to bed. Good Night, Escapist, I'll see you around noon-ish.

EDIT: Shit on me, the OP is female...now I feel like a total crap weasel...still, sleepy though.
>___> *checks pants* Nope, pretty sure I'm male.

Nerdiness brought me and my fiancee together. we've dated for about 7 years, 5 of which has been long distance, he goes to school in California and I back home in Colorado.

We had already known each other through common friends for about 6 months when at our freshman homecoming dance I saw him standing there against a wall kind of trying to bob his head trying to act cool and fail miserably. I fell in love with him right there. It took him about a year and a half to wisen up and realize that we were perfect for each other but he finally did so things worked out pretty well all things considered.

My moments with women tend to follow the lines of "instances where I realized I didn't like the person at all" and the ever common unrequited love scenario.

My current relationship is courtesy of college. We were in the same class and I quickly found the young lady wasn't a mooching clod like most of my classmates. She's also perfectly willing to argue with me without being vindictive or angry, which is uncommon in my experience.

That's Hollywood material
Only if it's made by Peter Jackson.

Nothing really significant has happened in my relationship so far. It's been almost a year since we started going out, but it's usually the same stuff (Watch a movie at home, kiss a bit, cop a few feels, repeat for a few hours until one of us has to go). We had sex once, though. I suppose that's significant.

A combination of alcohol and two chicks dressed as Darth Vader wielding lightsabers in the club I went to for my birthday. Me and my then friend saw this a sign (we're both huge Star Wars fans) and got together that night.

This thread makes me lonely. It sucks being in love with a girl who has no feelings for you. Still hoping she realizes just how great of a guy I am. A guy can dream.

On another note, interesting some of these love connections are.

It sounds harsh. But if she has no feelings for you. Don't bother, forget her and move on. Saves yourself alot of pain and/or becoming a creepy scary stalker if it goes too far.

It started out as friends, then really good friends, then like, then love, then one big mistake that ultimatly ended it all.

Me n' ma ***** love the fact that we share the same sense of humor, interest in video games, and the fact that we can talk for so long with running out of things that we both are interested in and laugh at.
