What, no Superman 64? No Quest 64? Well, Quest wasn't buggy, just bad...Superman 64! At least the games mentioned in the opening post were playable on the consoles. I had no crash-issues with my Fallout 3...I assume you were on a PC.

Lego Star Wars II for the DS. The amount of glitches and bugs in it are unbelievable.

Sorry, what?

I don't recall those games being buggy in the slightest.

Okay, you can't talk about buggy releases and leave Fallout 2 out, especially when you mention both 3 and New Vegas. 2 was so buggy on release, it was literally unplayable. It would crash or lock up when doing plot-relevant things, like exiting conversation with a plot-critical NPC. Several endings were unobtainable, such as the good ending for Gecko. So many things did not work, it required multiple large patches, including fan-made patches such as Killap's Fallout 2 Restoration Project (which is awesome), or the MegaMod, which is not only fixing things that were broken in the original game, but also adding content which was intended to be in the game but cut due to time constraints. Both of those are still adding things.

So shut the hell up about New Vegas and 3. They are bugged out the ass, but that is a Fallout tradition.

OH GOD, That entire game is just one big bug, I found a way to play as space ships in the cantina.

Not even graphical bugs? I find that hard to believe

OT: I have to say Oblivion was the worst for me.

Example: To finish a quest I need to talk to a guy, he tells me to meet him someplace I can't remember anymore. I go there, he's not there. I wait a few hours, still not there. Days? nope, still doesn't show up. Months pass, Where the hell is that asshole!? I give up, never saw him again. To this day that quest remains incomplete.

Second example: Stabbed Umbra and stole her soul (I happened to have a black soul gem on me and a shield that reflects magic. Ha, I love irony) took the sword and returned to whatever god wanted it. I refused to return it. He said he'd have his revenge someday. I guess he was referring to the fact that he must have been in league with my 360 as the game immediately froze afterward. It does this every time I try to complete this quest. To this day I still have the dog statue that comes with the quest, and it remains uncompleted.

Fallout 3. Damn frustrating when it freezes and looses saves constantly. I enjoyed the game once all that was fixed up.

Just so its clear, just because i said fallout was buggy doesnt mean im some anti fallout fanboy or have a hatred for besthesda.

I don't remember Fable 2 being buggy, just shitty...

I've been very luck with bugs, though. New Vegas is the only one I can remember having any substantial ones. Still loved it, though.

The posts in this topic make me feel like an old man. I mean, back in the 1990s... jeese... Just try to play the Darksun games especially the second one for instance.

Fallout 3 for me. Especially the GOTY edition.

It was so terrible that I couldn't play it for more than 10 minutes without it crashing.

Agreed, Fallout New Vegas was very, very buggy.
I laugh everytime I hear these and have yet to see any real bugs, just graphics clipping :p

Both of those games have run very well for me for hours and hours and hours.

Empire Total War.

End. of. Fucking. Thread.

Seriously, still hasn't been fixed at all after nearly 3 years and now I'm afraid to play Shogun 2 because I don't want the Empire fiasco repeated.

in Fable 2 you could jump and dig at the same time and it made your character fly around in a pose that looks like he was being crusified. And Fable 3 I'm just angry at because it deleted my wife and now my character is stuck with a girl he can't find or divorce.

New Vegas poses a very simple question: If a game breaks every ten seconds, can it still be enjoyed?

Basically List the top 5 buggiest games before they were patched (or they are currently buggy still)

5. Oblivion-Guards and they telepathy and the stealth system did not work at all
4. Fallout 3-"Awesome Fallout 3 on release day!" Unable to read disk, reboot, start menu, crash
3. Fable II-Do you really need to ask?
2. Fable III-please regard Fable II
1. Fallout New Vegas-Great game but my god, my pistol should not be invisible!

Runner-Up: Alpha Protocol-Due to it sucking so bad it doesn't deserve a spot on the list.
No disagreement with Oblivion's placement, but the stealth system worked perfectly (minus the inability to hide from an aware enemy) and had no bugs that I can think of.

Erm, Half-life 1 on the original goldsource engine?

I just LOVE seeing the scientist, that one who's supposed to open that door for you, get stuck on top of a piece of scenery.

Over and over and over, at EVERY checkpoint door.
