If the list were slightly longer, I'd find room for Hammerfall, Sonata Arctica, and Lordi.

Just because a band's newer material doesn't measure up to their old stuff doesn't mean that old stuff is retroactively bad.

Death Magnetic was a lot more like Metallica's 80's stuff not quite as good but still similar.
