I thought toy story 3 wasnt as good as 2 or was it really needed, pixar has begun milking their franchises. Whelp it was a nice ride while it lasted but everyone sells out eventually.
Completely off topic, but what do you mean "whelp it was a nice ride"? I've seen the word being used that way (and by that way I mean, not in the way that the word means) in a story I'm reading and assumed it was some bad translation, and I can't for the life of me work out why. Is it just the hip way of saying well? /old man mode.

OT: Le sigh. I thought they were going to close the trilogy on a high instead of stopping when people hate it.
Its a depressed misuse of the word well, I mean its all down hill from here so might as well say fuck you to grammar good.

I see, makes sense that the story I'm reading uses it then (all the characters being #chan users). Kind of interested at how that came about; it's not a mispelling misspelling and I don't see it being for the same reason that sauce being used instead of source came about. But that's the part of me who kind of likes etymology speaking. Thanks for clarifying :>

Unless Pixar themselves annouse that film I refuse to believe they will make another sequel. I mean at most I did read that they continue with Woody and co as a animated shorts for some future films.

I had heard the rumour that Pixar had a plot ready to go about Buzz malfunctioning (not surprising considering what he's been through) and getting sent back to Taiwan. Meanwhile, the other toys try to follow him.

But I hope it is only a rumour, since a toy not working properly and being separated from the others who go after him is essentially Toy Story 2's plot

That was actually the initial plot draft for Toy Story 3 that was dropped in favor of the current one.

Come on Pixar, don't disappoint me. Move on to new stories like you did before, making new memorable characters and worlds. Please don't make me think that you're making a movie with your oldest characters simply to milk the nostalgia cow...

If they go on ahead with this, they just might take the Halo route, making a new trilogy of 4, 5, and 6, as is what is being told 343 is doing with further titles in the franchise.

Or, maybe, something like Star Wars. Yeah, that'll work...

I would be really leery of this, only because the three movies were a really nice cycle. It was a complete arch that ended on a sort of high note.

And if the kept up the theme of slightly sadder movies each time, they may want to include grief counseling with every ticket purchase.

I like the idea about it being a prequal and showing the story of how Andy got Woody and what happened to his dad. Any other company I'd be worried but it's Pixar, I haven't seen a bad movie from them yet.
