well, wait. How do you know its a Toy Story main movie? if it has tim allen, it may be a spin off kinda deal with just buzz lightyear. I wouldnt be the least bit suprised. I mean, I think pixar has to realize that they cant really continue the TS movies into a fourth thing. unless its to get all the toys sold off back and finally settle that romantic thing between Bo and Woody.

SIDE NOTE: Yes, I was disappointed that Bo wasnt in TS3. Woody needs some love to. and yes, i get the symbolism of him being alone.

All this article says is that if there is a toy story four (which hasn't been confirmed or denied ) then Tim Allen agrees to play his character.

"According to Toy Story 3 director Lee Unkrich, the series feels like it is complete."

I think things will be ok. They were just open for the possibility, but I really don't think they will continue. We don't need a million Toy Story movies like the Land Before Time Series. I am excited about the Toy Story short before Cars 2 though!

I don't get it why, too. Because as much as I loved Toy Story, and Toy Story 2 (and even if I haven't seen 3 yet), I'd much prefer it if they came up with some new ideas, especially after they announced that out of all of their properties, Cars was the one they also decided to make a sequel for.

But then again, the article doesn't make mention of there specifically having to be a Toy Story 4 in the works.

But toy Story is the ultimate trilogy, they made a fantastic first, then a few years after a fantastic second, then ELEVEN YEARS after that they made an excellent conclusion to it all.

Wait... What? That doesn't make any sense. They completed the story with a loop. It starts out with a blissful child and ends when that child leaves and a parallel blissful child replaces him. What are they going to do next? Ah, it'll probably take another 4 years to make I'll see then.

According to that article, he may be signed for another movie, but it doesn't mean that there will be another movie.

This is one of those "wait and see" moments.

"but that doesn't necessarily mean that the studio is obligated to put another feature-length sequel into production."
I don't think I could handle another Toy Story, wait until I'm old and grey. That would be something, wouldn't it?

Toy Story 3 was heartwarming and nostalgic with an ending that wrapped all the loose ends perfectly, if they make Toy Story 4, Pixar is dead to me, make Finding Nemo 2 for all I care, not another Sequal to a classic

I have faith that Pixar can deliver, even their worst films are good. If Disney were to remove it from Pixar and give it to someone else it could be a disaster though.

Anyway, actors sign up for all sorts doesn't mean it happens. They sign up just so that they can say, should it happen I will be available for it.

On the whole hoping for an Optimus Prime toy, Transformers are a licensed product whose likeness and use is probably expensive if not exclusive (in movies) to Paramount/Dreamworks. It's not as easy as just 'hey lets put Optimus Prime in our movie' so I wouldn't get your hopes up.

That's odd, considering John Lasseter himself has said there will be no more Toy Story films (except maybe some shorts). I mean, he of all people should know.

NO. NO. NOOOOO!

Toy Story 3 ended it so well! I'll be the only one in a sea of people around me in RL who think this is an awesome idea!

*facepalms at thread* It doesn't mean they're actually making one, this is common practice in the industry, jesus...
