Ha, nice call.Peace Frog said:So I take it archery's still the worst?
Agreed.icame said:If you want my reaction to this video look at my name.
I got the signature edition on preorder. In Bioware I trust!
You can also put stealthy under physical.Valiard said:well aren't there only 3 archetypes anyway a physical class a sneaking class and a arcane class? name one archetype that doesn't fall under the three listed?
As opposed to who? Bethesda; ugly, mass produced mannequins that are inconsistently voiced. Ubisoft; stories that just go in and out continually with maybe three actual characters.subtlefuge said:I don't know if Bioware should be more renowned for their excellent writing and storytelling, or their incredible ability to misrepresent gameplay in trailers.
Yes, what we really need are new classes like 'Peacekiller' or 'Shadowhumper'..Raven said:Looks pretty... Umm... Generic?
This whole choose warrior, mage or thief stereotype is getting a little old don't we think?
At best, this just looks like what Fable could have looked like, at worst it makes Fable seem like a better game in that you aren't limited to only one role...
Really thought bioware might have moved on from this by now.
[edit] Oh and that blood looks horrible, just sayin...
I think what you meant to ask is "So.... will non-mages still be underpowered?"James Raynor said:So.... will mage still be overpowered?
All of those are likely special kill animations. Kinda like the decapitation kills from the first game. Like, you probably wont be able to click a button and make them do those things.Jandau said:Well, that was in-engine, not prerendered, but I wonder how much of that was actual combat animations. If all of that were actual moves you can do in the game, SWEET! Also, seems they decided to give Mages some up-close-and-personal firepower this time around.
Likely the Mage for me, I want that sweet sweet sword-staff. Let's hope there's a well designed Fighter/Mage specializations this time around, Arcane Warrior was terrible design (it was strong, too strong actually, just poorly designed).
Well, to be honest those are nothing but names. Each class still has their specializations which are consistant of the more diverse classes. Instead of having the ranger, swashbuckler, assassin, and archer, they just have the rogue class and let you spec into what you want.Raven said:Looks pretty... Umm... Generic?

Some of them were, but some can't be. Even if they are just kill animations, that would also be pretty sweet. Good kill animations make games better, as proven by Dawn of War...loremazd said:All of those are likely special kill animations. Kinda like the decapitation kills from the first game. According to one of the articles I read (on the Escapist, but can't remember which one) Rangers now have the option to use their bow as a melee weapon at close range. The bow can be used as a blunt instrument against any enemy that gets too close.Peace Frog said:So I take it archery's still the worst?
