Dragon Age 2 is looking very good and adding some fast paced combat sounds like an awesome idea, but the the only thing I'm scared of in this game is if they just make it one over the top action thriller. That is not to say the first Dragon Age was amazingly deep or anything but it was enjoyable for what it was.

I'm also wondering what game play elements they did take out. Such as the Armor and weapons. Will you get a vast choice of equipment or not? If they make it like how Masseffect 2 was with their Armor and equipment then that would disappoint me a bit. I'm not saying what they did in Masseffect was a bad thing. It worked for the theme of Masseffect sense you should be able to just upgrade equipment in a sci-fi game. I'm just saying that I enjoy a variety of equipment in a Western RPG.

Overall I'm looking forward to the Warrior class, just because it makes me feel like more of a man.

I don't know if Bioware should be more renowned for their excellent writing and storytelling, or their incredible ability to misrepresent gameplay in trailers.
As opposed to who? Bethesda; ugly, mass produced mannequins that are inconsistently voiced. Ubisoft; stories that just go in and out continually with maybe three actual characters.
Atari; when they do an RPG it can be good, it can also be just DnD and far more derivative.

Everyone always says this and never presents anyone who does it better.
What are you saying? I don't think you're saying what you think you're saying.

Re-read my original post and you might just find that I said nothing about the characters, the story being poor, or any gameplay elements whatsoever.

My bad, I misread what you said. I really just hate when people say X is shit and leave it at that.

This is a totally unfair statement to make about just Dragon Age......but it's just so graphically underwhelming. I dont know why but thats the only thing I can notice, and Dragon Age specifically has brought so many annoying graphical inconsistencies to my attention.

I might just be getting picky but I'm sick of back-mounted broadswords that are just magnetically stuck the the guy. I'm sick of the "shing" sound a blade makes when it's not even being brushed against another object. And I'm sick of completely arbitary sprays of blood that dissapear in mid air from a single sword slash across an undamaged armour chestpiece that in no way inhibits the victim from continuing to fight.

So what you are saying is you are upset by the graphical limitations imposed on us by current generation hardware and the need to make one engine work on all possible release platforms that are in anyway alike. Cause if that is what you are saying I completely agree with that on all levels and can't wait for them to fix that.
Also the sound is completely a design choice because most people understand it in some way and in their mind connect it to a sword drawn, like the stupid slide rack sound in movies or games when they don't need it for guns. That does not mean I defend that design choice, as someone with a more than healthy interest in history and weaponry I understand that its wrong and hate them for it, at least in that time period.

Plenty of people have bitched about the classes and I think I've only ever seen one person say they want to be a warrior up here, but I'm a fan of all three! Aesthetically, I'd go with the Rogue because its the most realistic weapon discipline I could benefit from learning in my actual life, whereas the Mage's Staffblade is actually a spear with an extended blade, designed to complement magic. (Seriously, I love it as much as all of youse do, but am I the only one to notice that fact?)

i don't like being anything other than a mage. playing a melee character it takes ages to kill something, and you can only hit one thing at a time. when as a mage you could just go BANG BOOM everybody's dead.
melee is for the extra difficulty level :p

well honestly I just kinda hope they keep the three base classes but expand on specializations maybe you could go warrior> berserker >reaver or Rogue > Marksman > Assassain

Game will be good and the classes will feel varied on their own. This trailer is there just to further the hype of a game coming out in what 20 days?People who ***** and don't have a preorder will *****,people who have a preorder will get hyped :D.The latter will enjoy the game, the others will just buy it when the price becomes a bargain since they want to play it anyway.

It's looking good I hope those animations are actually there and that fem Hawk has a sexy gruff voice like fem-shep did :p.
