Taking out whatever feelings I had for Final Fantasy XIII... as in I feel that the game was not very good... but it sure LOOKED good... does Final Fantasy XIII really need a sequel?

I think XIII actually has a reason for there to be a sequel since the "Gods" of that game were supposed to come back someday. Since the characters destroyed the one in Cocoon, it seems natural that this would draw them back to Gran Pulse.

I liked the flowing gameplay a lot, but the characters I saw didn't look like anything other than generic Final Fantasy. I'm just glad that so far they aren't going for the massive sex appeal feel they did in X-2.

It LOOKS good just like XIII but I just don't know. I deffinitely will get Versus when it comes out but I will have to finish XIII in order to give my opinion.

So I can play Riku in XIII-2? I had no idea.

The only similarity I can draw between the other protagonist and Riku is the voice actor...and I'm not even sure if they're the same. Still, I'm not sold. 10 was the only Final Fantasy I really enjoyed. I might have enjoyed 12 if they didn't stick in an incredibly difficult boss a quarter way through the game, and surround you with monsters that give terribly low exp so you can't level yourself out of the situation.

Well I'm excited for this and maybe this game can answer some questions that they just felt in the cold unanswered. Poor little questions, they don't deserve this.

Same here. I mean, Cocoon is missing a god and I'm pretty sure the other ones are going to be pissed about it. So, why not?

I was never into Kingdom Hearts.... but....

They kinda resemble each other, eh? Brothers perhaps?

As far as Square Enix lady-boys go, Riku is definitely much more badass than that guy. I get where you're coming from though. The only reason I won't be getting XIII-2 is because the only character that actually made any sense to me was Sazh, and he was comic relief. The rest of them were all pretty-looking non-entities. Oh, and Hope pissed me RIGHT off.

Every minute and dollar spent on something like this is time and money that would be better spent on making another tactics game.

I couldent finish XIII, the combat was ok though repetetive,
but what killed it for me was those stupid stupid characters
with thier 8 year old personallities, and it dosen't seem to
change and this game.

Actually you can see points where there are 3 party members a couple of times. Hope is in the party, but the trailer does its best to hide him in all the battle scenes since they don't want to reveal what he looks like in XIII-2 yet. You can see it in the interface.

OT: I personally have hope that this is gonna be good. I have yet to run into a Final Fantasy game that I didn't like on at least some levels(great example: HATE X-2's story and how the characters act, but from a pure gameplay aspect the game is actually good) so here's to this game actually being good. Plus Hope is coming back, so that's reason enough for me to play it.

Yeah, what's happening with Versus XIII? Anyone heard anything lately? After being very disappointed by FF XIII I'm putting a lot of hope in Versus (it's got heavy involvement from the Kingdom Hearts team, if I recall) but it only seems to exist in YouTube trailers.

As for this: direct sequels don't seem to fare well in Final Fantasy. But, who knows. Maybe they can do something interesting with it.

Trailer: Lightning's sister, different "other guy" and the ridiculous looking (even for FF) guys from the beginning of FFXIII, with only a quick glance of Lightning. Something... something seems a bit off there. Oh and a boomerang. GUESS HOPE IS COMING BACK. Joy.

The more I see about the this the less interested I get. Thankfully for me, Final Fantasy Syndrome only affects me for the single-numbered installments. The -2 games aren't something I will play simply because of the first two words in the title.
