He keeps enphasissing that this will be "for the fans". It seems like its in noway trying to attract new player and just being a massive tribute to Bungie. I don't hink this was a good move.

Hmmm not sure what to make of this.

A game series that all too often gets quoted as being "generic", "samey" and "unchanged" is now....just....releasing the first game again. I can sense a few weeks of this being the butt of the joke on the internet.

I wonder how this was pitched. "Hey, let's make an updated version of Halo 1, with full HD graphics, but completely ignore any and all gameplay evolutions and improvements for the past decade or so? We'd make millions!"

That would have been true if they weren't developing Halo 4. This remake is a tribute to Bungie and the fans, and so what. 343 will be able to prove themselves with Halo 4, 5 and 6 if there really is another trilogy coming out.

why couldn't they have taken that "if it's not broken, don't fix it" attitude with Halo 2 and its shitty AI, dual weilding, destructable vehicles with physical barriers EVERYWHERE, and MUCH smaller levels so the over-worked engine could render everything?

So I can spend money on a graphical upgrade or I can go dig out my copy of HALO for the PC and just play it again? I don't really see the point of buying this.
