I never played the original Prey but that had to be one of the most interesting, mind-blowing trailers I've ever watched.

Okay, mega bonus points for Johnny Cash. Though, open-world bounty hunter game? I'm in.

[EDIT: I got my head on upside-down. The electric guitar was in the original Unchained recording. Oops. Brief aside, I absolutely loved it when Cash covered good songs done crappily by their original bands and plays them the way they deserved to be played.]

Wow... wow... That was a hell of a trailer. I think I'll be keeping an eye on this. One question though, why does Bethesda want quite so much of my money? I mean, it's hardly fair to the other publishers.

This doesn't look anything like Prey, but that might be a good thing. I've been looking around and not a lot of people found the first Prey enjoyable. Maybe this will cater more to what people want. I found Prey 1 enjoyable, but this could be an interesting direction for the IP. I just hope it doesn't get the cawadoody treatment.
That was my primary complaint with this game.

It's nothing like the original Prey, so why name it after that?

They could have started an amazing new IP.

But holy shit, this was the best trailer I've seen so far.

Amazing trailer. Alien abductee turned bounty-hunter on a multi-species city ship. With a hint of conspiracy and betrayal and lots of big boss battles...I'm in.

Looks like they also got rid of death being meaningless by changing the main character.

Wow! This looks most exciting.

Can't wait to hear more details about this game. Bethesda looks to have another awesome title in the works.

Although, I'm not quite sure how this relates to Prey 1...

Nice. THis looks like it may be fun. I enjoyed the origional for different reasons. But I always have wanted to be a bounty hunter in a game :)

^This. Bounty hunting game? Colour me interested, I was always into stuff like this. Slightly concerned over the choice of first person rather than third person for it but... we'll see, could work.

Didn't the first prey include alien abductions and Native Americans? I don't see how this relates.

Not a Prey, or even a shooter fan, but that actually looks very good.

OK... I like the premise, and the trailer shows promise... butaside from possilbe setting similarities, it has no relation to the first Prey, which I remember as a pretty cool shooter with a lot of nice concepts meshed together pretty well (if you discount the impossible-to-die mechanic). Not so sure if want...

So we've gone from Native American mechanic saves the world from an all-consuming sphere, to space bounty hunter?

Not complaining, mind, it looks awesome. But I do still want to see where the connection with the first game is. Besides the guy being a survivor form the plane crash of course. What happened after Tommy stepped through that portal in the ending scene?

Considering Bethesda's appalling track record recently (the disappointments that were Brink and Hunted, nothing more than cash grabs) i'll likely be steering clear of this.

I'm really sick of developers digging up old, decrepit franchises that are no longer relevant just so they can go "Hey guys! A sequel!". I mean really, does anyone play, know or care about the original Prey anymore? This annoyance extends to another high profile release coming up, The Darkness 2. The original came out when the damn console was released! Running out of ideas already, guys? Or are the investors getting ants in their pants?
