Fair enough. I can respect that. I've got a rather high tolerance for frustration, myself--I'm the sort of guy who just WOULD NOT QUIT until I beat the Dark World in Super Meat Boy--so I guess it doesn't bug me as much, but I definitely know where you're coming from, especially with the 40 minute Werehog stages. Oy. They're competent enough, but a lot of them just drag, and it's a pain that the game makes us choke down more time with the Werehog than with Sonic.Truly-A-Lie said:But between the Werehog stages (one in Africa took me like 40 minutes to do), the way you have to unlock the levels with medals, and that godforsaken hellhole that is Eggmanland, a stage I found so horrible, so long and so frustrating that I never finished it, the game as a whole didn't work for me.
See, I liked it right up through the Werehog bit, for one reason. Robotnik's line: "Sonic! That's a good look for you... Festive!"It did have one of the greatest opening cutscenes of all time though. If you cut the Werehog bit onwards, that opening could be my favourite piece of Sonic media since Sonic the Movie.
