And once again I am doubting what my main will be, Bounty Hunter or Sith Inquisitor. Release the Inquisitor trailer so I can make up my mind already!

Come to think of it, just release the friggin' game! No doubt that's going to be pushed back again. Maybe the PAX East demo they 'promised' will shed some light on that; if it's awesomely polished, maybe we'll see it in May or June. If it's absent, prepare to wait another 6 months kids.

... it's hard to get excited about a trailer for a game that, it seems, will never be released.

Gimme a date, and I'll start caring again.

Wow... that trailer actually makes the combat look very disappointing. BioWare has fallen into the standard LucasArts trap: Cram the game full of as much iconography as you can.

Oh, so one bounty hunter had a flame thrower? ALL bounty hunters should have them! So one bounty hunter froze his quarry in carbonite (which, incidentally, was only because he happened to confront the guy in a freezing facility)? ALL bounty hunters should use it!

It's the same in the books. Everyone is obligated to have a certain concentration of movie-references-per-page, even about things it's reasonable to think most galactic residents wouldn't know.

We get it. It's the Star Wars Universe. But every time you cram the game into tightly-controlled, narrow archetypes, you make that "universe" so much smaller. By constantly including toys, you're constantly removing possibilities.

My bets are on Summer this year. It will be this year, at any rate.

Did they even try to make him not look like Bobba Fet? It's not like I'd ever pay for an MMO anyway, but I'm getting even less interested as I was before.

I would think so too, but it's surprising that they can't get a date for it even though we practically had a release date for Dragon Age 2 this time last year (I think they were off by a month).

They're doing a lot of beta testing right now - with something this big, perhaps they just want to have all their bases covered before they give a concrete release. If you announce a date, and then a huge bug is suddenly discovered when you really want to crack on with polishing, that's not exactly great.

Not only that, but their marketing will increase the closer it gets. If you start that and then something goes wrong, you've lost all that marketing build up (same thing happened to Alpha Protocol).

When the game is coming out?

Well, I don't have a pc, so won't be playing this, but it actually looks much more promising now. The combat still looked a little bland and the environments and scenes seemed severely underpopulated, but this game may actually have a fighting chance at some success.

Wait, how did you type that message though?

Just curious.

Why does he look so similar to Boba Fett? He has the same job, yeah, but I don't think that Bounty Hunter is really a profession that requires any kind of uniform.

Bioware is setting up the classes like the movie archetypes. All Smugglers are Han Solo, all Bounty Hunters are Fett. Hell, the Sith Warriors are divided into dps Darth Mauls and tanking Vaders.

It's the one flaw I have a problem with in this game.

Well that looks to be the world's most soporific combat. You're being shot at! After a few seconds, shoot a glowing ball! It explodes! Seconds later, they all fall down.

A Stop-Motion MMO would be more impressive if it was intentional. Hell, it'd be brilliant.

i just hope that you can customize your char enough. especially if you just look at bounty hunters, there are a LOT of different ones in the star wars universe. I get that mandaloriens make awesome bounty hunters but please give me the opportunity to have a droid bounty hunter.
setting the poster chars for each class up like a well known character from the movies is understandable to draw in star wars fans who don't have a background in playing mmos but please make the game more diverse.

btw why is there no frontline soldier for the dark side? we have the two force users and two specialists who are more suited to work off the battlefield but the sith don't have something akin to the trooper.

Technically, it wasn't pushed back, they just expanded the release window. And no worries about the PAX demo. Check out the site, they have a rundown of what's going to be at PAX.

Wha? Adding abilities removes possibilities?

I'm confused. Where are you seeing bad combat in this?
