I believe this project was replaced with Batman Beyond. If I am right, I am doubly glad Batman was not reduced to whining about the prom.
Thats what I was about to say. Batman Beyond was supposed to be "Batman in High School", before it went cyberpunk and... y'know, epic.

As others have said, it could potentially make a great spoof series on the web, or maybe have a good one season run, but aside from that, I dont think they can do all too much with it. I would say that it if they were to get anything 'quality' from it, is that it should definately not be aimed at kids. Then again, it would depend entirely on the writer.... Perhaps if they hired the guy who did Invader Zim?
If they had been able to get Jhonen Vasquez (creator of Invader Zim, Johnny the Homicidal maniac plus several more fucked up comic books) the only place it would really fit, and survive (providing it was good)would be either on [Adult Swim] or maybe Spike.

It was also shit.
No it wasn't.
Yes it was. The acting was bad, the art was bad, and the writing reduced the characters to mere shells of what they used to be. The only good thing to come out of that show was Shades McGee Cash Tankenson.

P.S. Thanks

I believe that's how a lot of his fangirls view The Joker... that makes this concept terrifying.

Definitely would have watched a few episodes just to see how they did it.

Also, group photo from left to right: Clay-Face, Two-Face, Penguin, Killer Croc, Riddler, Batgirl/Batwoman/Robin/Oracle (depending on who it's referring to), Batman, Scarecrow, Catwoman, Joker, Harley, Poison Ivy, Bane, Mr. Freeze.
Riddler! Of course! I had all the other pinned after getting a closer look at that photo (seeing the arms for Clay-Face and the strange shading for Two=Face), but not the geeky guy with glasses. it seems so obvious now...

Holy shit, I totally predicted something like this when Smallville was popular. It looks like I was right. And I'm quite glad that it got the axe.

Well, they did it with the X-Men a few years ago, and it was passable, but still.....

I too have trouble imagining that this idea could have gone well.

This thing has like a whole alternate universe feel to it. Might be kinda funny but I don't see it getting many ratings. Probably most of them would come from a younger generation who knows little about Batman compared to the fans who were there from the get go.

Besides, it also seems kinda pointless to boot.

Give it mature content and run it on comedy central or late FX or Adult Swim. All problems solved.

Really? Huh. I liked the acting, the art and the writing.

Agree to disagree?

(Although you have to admit the Joker got some pretty good lines, eg. "Another voice in my head? The more the merrier!")

no it wasn't. It gave us a new joker with a reason for being crazy, as well as show him to us pre joker. In fact all villans were given new sometimes improved backstories. Clayface has never been as likeable as he was in that show. Batman himself was now updated with modern technology and was all the better for it. Add that with some good voice acting and a really good movie called Batman vs Dracula and you got a great series.
