Matt watched the frenzied Alex, who appeared to be searching for something. Did he know something they didn't? Or did he have an idea? Or was he just crazy?

Only one way to find out. Matt began to search underneath the tables for whatever the other guy was looking for.

Jim lifted his head up from the cold wood of the bar, his forehead thick with sweat. He took another swig from his bottle, and turned around on his barstool. He saw two men crawling under tables and running their hands along chairs in the restaurant.

Jim leaped off of his barstool and set down his bottle.

"What the hell are you guys doing? Did you lose something? There's a lost and found box somewhere around here, I can go bring it out."

Jim walked over to the lobby desk to search for the L&F box.
Do I find one? And if so, what's in it?

Jordan mumbles to himself as he walks out of the kitchen back into the restaurant, playing with his video camera out of nervous habit.

"What the hell, no one want to talk to me eh? Whatever, its not that big a deal, just calm down man. Something weird is definately going on, I think I better keep a record of whats going on."

He presses the record button, and begins filming the events around him,but decides it would be best to be discreet about it, so his arms are kept at his sides, and he holds the camera by the strap to keep the lens pointed forward.

Seeing the person he had talked to in the lobby, Alex, crawling around on his hands and knees looking for something, he goes over to him.

"Hey Alex, what are you doing man? You lose a contact, or something? Tell me what your looking for and I will help the best I can."

as he gets nearer, he catches sight of Alex's face, half of it red, and particularly itchy looking.

"Damn, what happened to your face? You have an allergic reaction to something?"

Remy's breath catches as he realizes the water... has no effects. His mind races furiously, searching for a possible cause of the anomaly.

It can't be viral, there's no way it entered the blood stream. Can't be infectious, couldn't have broken the skin that fast...

Maybe a fungus. That's the only logical explanation.

With these thoughts in mind, Remy rushes out the door towards the lobby, mentally taking inventory of his limited medical supplies.

which explains why you got it all wrong. This is a service hallway, concrete floors, bare, white paint - one does not place the door to the loading dock and garbage area in a customer-facing hallway, and one does not hang artwork in the building equivalent of an alley.

The hallway in question runs the length of the building and has a two doors on the left, one close to the restaurant with the timeclock right next to it, and one towards the end of the hall, which has "Banquet Room" painted on it. The service elevator is at the end on the left. You need one of the employees keys to use it.

Pro Tip: when you move into a new area, don't assume you know what is in it. A wrong assumption about the nature of the space puts you at risk of a.)edits or b.)monsters.
Fire Daemon, no problem, you don't find anything. Also, Bling has had some sort of computer meltdown and has asked to be killed off, so if you see me starting to puppet him, that's why. And finally, if you get to a new area before I've described it properly, just ask me in PM and I will tell you.

<spoiler=Edited>Mkay. All I got was "On your left is a long hallway", and waited for more. You're right, to be thoroughly descriptive I should have only said Kaze "examined" the left hallway in some way or the other after the fight, which he does now. I forgot how much work you have to do in this. Sorry.

If it's not genuinely necessary to the storyline (character corrections, etc.) stop putting it in the thread. There is way to much OOC going on here. I've already asked once. I'd really appreciate not having to ask again.

As he gets into the lobby, Remy begins digging through his medical back, desperately searching for some sort of antibiotic, anti-infectant, anything. Cursing under his breath at his lack of medical supplies, he becomes sharply aware of a burning pain on his palms.

Lifting his hands to his eyes, Remy watches as blisters rise from the red skin of his palms. Nearly driven to panic, he calls out "Hello? Does anyone know where the serviceman is?!"

Giving up on his search underneath the tables, Matt headed out to the lobby. On his way there he heard someone shouting for help, so he picked up his pace.

Going to a new area is supposed to take up the whole turn, right?

Looking up from behind the desk Jim walks around to Remy.

"By servicemen I assume you mean me. But this ain't a public school. We don't got a nurse or nothing to tell you to lie down or give you a care bear band aid."

As Jim gets closer to Remy, he sees the man's hands.

"What the..." Jim muttered to himself. There was something seriously weird going on around here, but he would have to deny that to the guests, for the sake of his job.
Is there a registry computer or something behind the desk I can send an email for help with?

After walking into the lobby, Joseph sees the mechanic and another man, who seemed to be screaming for help. He realizes that this might be connected to the man who shouted to not touch the door. He decides to stand off to the side and observe for now.

"I know that, you arrogant prick!" Remy snaps. "But you must have some sort of first-aid equipment. Antibacterials? Anything?!" Remy displays his hands to the man. "This is not normal! I've thought of everything else. It has to be a fungus!"

Remy catches his breath, realizing the near-hysterical pitch of his voice.

"I apologize. But you must have something around here."

Hey guys, they laid off about 25% of the staff at my job in the past couple weeks, so I have been working like a crazy woman trying to make sure I don't end up in Percent 26. I'm going to try to catch up here as well but probably won't be back in action until Friday. Sorry about the lag. Even though becoming unemployed would allow me to spend unlimited time on the Escapist, I'm not quite that desperate for more time to RP.

<spoiler=Oh damn>That sucks. I'm certain they aren't as dumb as to lose you though.
The hallway was long and Kaze felt, for the first time, his need to rush to find a way out dissipating. Doubting, he turned to the kitchen and the direction of the comforting mass of people. Squeezing his knife hypnotically, he stood in hesitation and deep thought. He had always had to rely on nothing but his own judgment and actions, but now he felt unsure of the situation. Strange, that. The feeling was vaguely familiar, like a distant memory, but he could not recall a situation in which he cared enough to feel it. She.. would have known..

Paxton was driven. His confidence had been overpowered and now he felt a forboding atmosphere surrounding him. With fire extinguisher in hand, Paxton searched the dining area of the restaurant for any rememnants of other people having been in here, or some out of place object to help explain their situation.

Does Paxton find anything of interest?

Having perused the area in a quick fashion, Paxton makes his way towards the lobby, where he had heard a shout before, assuming it to be more arguements.

Matt could understand that a situation like this would make some people a little more vulnerable to freaking out, but was that man really yelling about a rash? Did he not realize how low the cleaning standards are for hotels like this?

Continuing past the lobby desk, Matt quietly stepped into the banquet hall, the only area on the floor where it seemed no one was going nuts.
