Most of the armor is ugly in Skyrim, especially the female Steel Plate. Stupid.

For me this was not a trivial problem. I went out of my way to mod it back to as close to the original as possible.

Seeing as I'm now play Dragon Age: Origins, I'm sure this answer will be a bit predictable. I've heard rumors, but even after seeing the first Mage hat, I was already looking for a "hide helm" option in the game. The dialog sequences don't show them, but running with that on always pulls me a bit further away from my monitor.

I hated the brown-and-doom color scheme of Fallout: New Vegas. Sure, it was a brown-and-Doom game but they could have at least added some color.

Skyrim, you've got a bard academy. I want to be a bard. Why can't I play all the flutes and things I keep finding? It's just cruel. :<

S.T.A.L.K.E.R., there's reasonably well preserved cars all over the place. Can't I have one? I'll even do a little fetch quest for the spares. Anything!

EDIT: Dwarf Fortress. Keas. Pissin' keas. Stop stealing my wheelbarrows!

Okami: It was too easy.
God Hand: It was too buggy.
Portal: It was too short.
FF X: Sidequests were dumb.
Arkham City: Too many Riddler trophies.

Bastion is one of my favourite games, but by god when you do the whole new game plus it's cool, except for when they decide to give such a blatant and out of place nod to Portal that they put their head through an interior wall and had to be treated for concussion. Making references is one thing, but that was just so out of place and unnecessary.

Also as you go through the Ratchet and Clank series, the hacking mini-game gets progressively more time consuming and irritating.

Loved me some Spec Ops: The Line. Not such a big fan of their movement controls. Crouch and and sprint should be bound to left Shift and Control. I don't really care which gets bound to which though I prefer crouch be bound to control. Anyhow crouch should be toggle-able (i.e. press button once to crouch then press again to not crouch) while sprinting should (usually) be hold button to sprint and don't hold button to not sprint. Spect Ops doesn't do this and often left me overshooting cover because your character has to seemingly slow down like a vehicle with suspect brakes. Additionally while this isn't something that Spec Ops does but stealth focused games that feature hold button to stay crouched make me more than a little upset. Why should I hurt my fingers over your shitty design?

I would argue that this next isn't a trivial complaint but any fighting game that doesn't have push to assign button mapping can kindly forward a message to their developer that I want to set said developers pubic hair on fire for wasting so much of mine and everyone else's time.

Being able to see your legs in Left 4 Dead 1 but not in Left 4 Dead 2.

The viewmodel glitch in Borderlands 1 where you can see through the soldiers arm

Lack of nightvision goggles in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

The mirror on de_lake that doesn't work, it just blurs blurs the room behind it like when you look at a scope while not zoomed in an old shooter

Reloads not counting until after the gun is back in place, when the magazine goes in I should be able to switch to a different weapon, not until the game stops the animation and I have to wait until it changes the number

Can't think of more at the moment

FFX - if I have to use all 7 characters in a fight, why not let me fight with them all at once? Swapping party members is pissing annoying.

Saint Row 1's lack of checkpoints in missions. Not so bothered by the lack of aiming since I never bothered with it in SR2.

Later Mantras being crazy expensive in Digital Devil Saga 1/2

Not being able to control party members other than the the MC in Persona 3.

..That's all I can think of.

Have you seen the mojave desert? It's not exactly a colourful wonderland filled with lush forrests and bright tropical flowers... It's brown, and brownyred, and brownygold, and there's some cacti, and some brown reptiles. Lotta brown.
Cuz if you want a colourful experience, there's always mario, or any other range of colourful playformers and other colourful games, of which the entire fallout series is the opposite, what isn't brown is grey, a massive thermonuclear war will do that to places, as is seen in the other 4 titles that I recognize as fallout games, not that horrendous waste of programming that was the shooter for consoles.

My gripe is simple, there are so many games where they force a stealth section on you, games that are stealth action games, it's fine/fun but all the games where stealth barely even comes into it that put a stealth segment where if you get caught you gottastart over, those suck, cuz if I've got the weapons/armour/ammo to take on entire enemy compounds by just shooting everyone, why would my character suddenly be peeing his pants worrying about being seen in an area where he could just turn em all into hamburger and be done with it anyway?

Ok.

How about you actually post something that contributes to the thread then- No offence, but those kind of posts are usually annoying IMO, you arent making the thread better at all xD...

The Saint's Row 3 character creation infuriated me. It was a step back in every important way.

That said, I got way more upset about it than I needed to be. :p

Saint's Row:The Third - The police response seems a bit skewed at times.Shooting a bunch of civilians or cops = 1 or 2 star response.Stealing a garbage truck on one of the theft side missions = 4 star response with SWAT teams and National Guard called in

The excuse I keep hearing is that it makes gameplay faster and more intense or some shit like that.

Bullshit if you ask me. I think there should atleast be the ability to use either guns with thermal clips or the older ME1 weapons, and with ME3 and the Prothean Beam Rifle, you have the basica ground work for it to return. I WANT MY DAMN INFINIT AMMO AR BACK!!!

Anyways, as much as im loving Borderlands 2, Im kinda pissed there is no way to go back and listen to audio logs like in the previous game. Also sad they didnt make the characters have more "Presence" in the game. Nobody ever mentions the fact my character is a Siren, and if you played the game and got to a certian point, you know a particular importance of Sirens, so it seems weird that they completely ignore that little fact[footnote]Also, while I think the audiologs you can find about your characters is a nice touch, still not the same.[/footnote].

Mass Effect 3 had a dodge between cover system that hijacked my ability to move properly because it kept thinking I wanted to dodge when I actually wanted to back out of cover. Sigh.

Deus Ex Human Revolution's boss fights were far, far too hard when compared to the rest of the game.

Portal is too short.

Chrono Trigger has an annoying difficulty leap between the end of the main game and all the sidequests before Lavos. The enemies jump in hardness, and so you have to grind a lot.

In Skyrim, my horse can scale near-vertical cliffs, while I can't even ledge-grab onto a rock platform.

Skyrim: You could make your head as fancy and weird as you liked, but your body remained a single solid color.

Why would my Argonian have a pattern on his head but not his body?

Rainbow Six Vegas didn't have a melee function which it desperately needed, while at the same time mapping grenades to the B button.

Aestheticaly, Halo 4 looks unfathomably bad, although the gameplay looks alright.

Most armour and weapons in Skyrim look like ass, and the ones that don't, are ass.

Morrowind's combat sucks. (Not really trivial. I'm just complaining now)

Deus Ex: Human Revolution got utterly stupid from the moment the word Illuminati was uttered. (I haven't played the original)

GRAW's controls were clunky and robotic.

Minecraft needs more survival oriented items i.e. tents, campfires, pointed sticks, bedrolls. More to create the feeling of actual survival gameplay.
