This can range from a single trophy/achievement in a game, to a specific type. For me its gotta be trophies on games that are automatically added for the DLC, being somewhat of a trophy whore, this pisses me off as it means if I want the full set off trophies I have to get the DLC. Also ones that involve having a ridiculous amount of friends on you friends list, like half the trophies in LittleBigPlanet...I was actually glad when the ApocalPS3 happened, it meant I could get rid of some of the trophy lists I didnt want.

A trophy in MLB 10: The Show.

It requires you to hit 29 Home Runs in one round of the Home Run Derby.

I can't do it. :(

I really dislike all of those trophies/achievements that require online or multiplayer play. I am mainly a single player gamer and don't do online play, so it's impossible for me to get those types of achievements.

The ones in Ninja Gaiden 2 that requires you to beat the game with only one weapon.

Its not too hard, it just it should be worth more than 5 gamerpoints.

Any achievements that must be achieved in "New Game +" mode or some similar bullshit that I'll never get around to doing.

Same here so anything that demands you win at 100 online matches can go suck lemons for all I care.

Almost any online achievements. Win 30 matches in a row, play 100,000 games, have 50 people love your designs, etc. etc. etc.

They're all pretty damn ridiculous, and many of them you have little to no control over.

Agreed, and when you get a sports game (EA is particularily bad at this) where over half the trophies involve playing online, it's just pointless for me to even try to pick those up

I really hated that seriously 2.0 achivement in GOW 2.
I mean seriously, kill 10,000 people and all I get is 25 gamerscore? Thanks, Cliffy B...

I hate online ones on principle so all of those.

Specific ones I hated (objectives not names:

Batman Arkham Asylum - Get a 40x combo, Get a perfect combo using every move. Combat challenges.

Mass Effect - Completing majority of the game with X squad mate (there are 6 of them, so this means the game has to be done including most side-quests at least 3 times).

Portal - Get Gold medals on all challenges.

I agree and also believe they are completely unfair. While I do have access to them, I do not think anyone should be forced to go online to "complete" a game. What about those without access to Live at all?

Online MP successive victories achievements.

All online games have glitchers / rage quitters, some achievements are just impossible to do unless you manipulate the system yourself (play a friend)
It shouldn't be like that.

Basically what's already been said. Achievements based off online, forcing you to play through games multiple times, or achievements based mainly off luck. I remember trying to get the achievement on Halo 3 where you kill 3 enemies in a row with a sword in a ranked FFA match. Since the only one avalible at the time only could have 5 people max, that meant you had to manage to get the sword and then get lucky enough to kill three people who were close to each other. Not to mention that only one map that never seemed to show up had the sword on it. But it made me feel soooooooo good when I got it myself.

Achievements that are impossible to not get.
You started a new game, Achievement! You beat the first boss, Achievement! You killed your first enemy, Achievement! You entered a mission critical area, Achievement!
Doesn't really give the feeling like you are say..achieving something.

thankfully I've only gone achievement whore for a few games and I've only got the maximum achievements for two games (Fable 2 and Oblivion). Two achievements I have found pointless are for Kameo and Soul Calibur IV

Kameo - And the winner is...
awarded for downloading a free skins back from Xbox live. I don't see the point in such an achievement and the achievement has zero points to it, what is the point of a zero point achievement?

Soul Calibur IV - Start of a New Era
Worth five points. Awarded for simply pressing start at the menu screen. How is that an achievement?
