Far Cry 2 needs you to get to quite a high lv and obtain alot of stuff, which is a problem considering the dwindling amount of players
Also collectables(feathers, blast shards etc) annoy me but i'd feel bad getting a platinum without them (100 painstakingly hunted blast shards for a bronze trophy, dam you Sucker Punch!)
Oh and games like MGS4 with its vast array of emblems available and no trophy equivalent

in the games that I am playing right now that have trophies or ones I have played in the past few weeks

Disgaea 3 Consult your physician, play ten consecutive hours of game play. Yeah I could leave it on the title screen as I go about my day but then that would be cheating and I pulled this feat in the previous NIS games.

Yakuza 3 Wanderer of the Key, in this game there are small blue blips that can be in odd places. all you gotta do is open the first 10 out of 50 lockers in both towns but they are really damn annoying to find.

Fallout 3 anything that involves stealth, I was never good at stealth in elder scrolls series.

Metal Gear Solid 4 The Big Boss trophy, or what ever is the one where you need to beat it in 5 hours 0 kills 0 alerts prolly some other stipulation i cant think of at the moment

I hate the silly easy ones that simply happen from a basic playing of a game, such as the achievements to start a campaign or stuff like that. I like my achievements when you have to do something unusual and whacky! ;)

Dead Rising's 5 and 7 day survivor achievements. What kind of sick bastard decided it was a good idea to make an achievement that required you to keep your Xbox running for 10-14 hours? This game came out in 2006 for God's sake! That was just asking for a RRoD.

Any one that your practically guaranteed to get simply by playing the game. For example, killing 500 Helghast in killzone 2. or "congratulations, you finished the tutorial. here's a trophy". Fuck. Off.

The whole point of a Achievement/Trophy is that it should be something that requires special effort on the part of the player. So, going back to killzone 2, "Run and Gunner" (Which is something along the lines of "kill 3 helghast without releasing the trigger or reloading while using an assault rifle" or some-such is a good Achievement, while "Corinth river ribbon" (beat the corinth river level) is a bad Achievement.

Just my 2 cents.

Finish game on Super Hard (or equivalent)
I see where you're coming from here. But I can't completely agree. While it pisses me off that the only Force Unleashed Achievement I never got was the equivilent you speak of, I can certainly see how they would want to reward a person that did manage to make it through that overly difficult load of crap. (I loved the game and got to Palpatine on Sith Master difficulty, but could never finish the game because of his uber lightning that shocked me through cover)

But yeah, it does suck not getting that last one just because of a cheap end boss who negates all the wicked cool powers I spent the whole game building up.

I (eventually) completed Force Unleashed on Sith Master. It cost me my sanity though.

I suppose I more mean the Trophy in Bioshock 1 for completing the game on the absolute hardest difficulty without using Vita Chambers.

I don't mind a challenge but that just was not fun in any way

At least that challenge unlocks the best song in the game. Not that you need it when you can complete the game on the highest difficulty in under four and a half hours without kills, alerts or special items.(IIRC it's actually 4 hours, allowing some room for the unskippable 17 minute long ending)

On-Topic: I hate that Ten Billion Damage Man trophy from Disgaea 3. In most games I'd feel awesome doing 40 million damage with a single attack(my current average) but that trophy ruins any sense of accomplishment until I get it.

On GTA IV trophies for the DLCs mean my trophy percentage is pathetic. I'm not a trophy whore but I like to look half decent :D And since I cant play online since I'm 16 or 18, dont know which, I cant get the online trophies in Red Dead Redemption :(
I had no idea there was an age limit for online gaming, coz the amount of little shits you can find on Live and PSN is frankly ridiculous

I really dislike all of those trophies/achievements that require online or multiplayer play. I am mainly a single player gamer and don't do online play, so it's impossible for me to get those types of achievements.
I hear that, it's fine if a game has a really strong multiplayer bit but games that should primarily be single player shouldn't have these. Uncharted 2 springs to mind. Also Bioshock 2, so many achievements were for online play only.

I hate collection trophies, life the blast shards in inFamous, or the feathers in AC2. I also hate the stupid freaking evil "Little Rocket Man" Achievement. I hate Valve for that.

The trial achievements in SFIV. I actually really dislike many of the trials. I don't fight in the way they force you to "practice." I don't see how anyone can. Its hard enough pulling off those combos when Dan never moves. Imagine using them against a moving target. It doesn't happen.

Aside from a few. Gouken's throw + Shoryuken and Akuma's Focus + Raging Demon obviously work, but the complex ones. The complex ones are just stupid.

Oh, and how are you supposed to HK +/x QCF QCF P(or kick, I can't remember) with C. Viper. I'm serious. You can't be moving forward for the start or do the QCF QCF first because it registers as a different attack. The standing kick lasts for such a small amount of time, how are you supposed to cancel into QCF QCF x P?

I personally hate multiplayer achievements which encourage players to betray/harm their teammates. It is just a pain in the ares when you're trying to play a decent game and some dick is running around trying to get this achievement.

Examples are Halo 3's 'Two-for-one', which required a double kill with a single shot pf a particular weapon. Sure, it was a FFA playlist, but a pain nonetheless. Every match, for the first 2 months, people would rush that weapon spawn...

A better (well, worse, but you know what I mean!) example if Turok's "Grab Bag", which encourages players to teamkill and suicide. I mean, having to play a man down 'cause someone wants an achievement is one thing, but having them also team killing....grrr....

Anything that requires me to play multiplayer. I am a primarily single player focused gamer so forcing me to be social with arseholes off Xbox Live is just the bane of my gaming experience. And while we're on that note, I hate achievements where they not only expect you to get to the highest rank but expect you to start over after that. I'm looking at you: Bioshock 2.

I know COD brought it upon us but that doesn't affect me. I don't play it.

Edit: Also Bioshock 1 with it's beat the game on the hardest difficulty without vita chambers. I tried this but (being the casual gamer I am) ended up running out of medkits, eve hypos, and ammo.
