Truly Irrelevant Characters that you LOVED!

I've been reminiscing about all the various films that I've watched over my years, when suddenly this occured to me:

In a LOT of films I see, I always tend to pour all my love at one specific character. Obviously this isn't a problem, but...a lot of the time the character I end up absolutely fucking LOVING turns out to be the most pointless character in the entire film.

So it got me thinking...what characters in, well, anything (film, book, TV show, game, whatever) have you absolutely adored, but who turned out to be absolutely worthless in terms of...anything in the film?

The main two I am remembering right now are:
1) The Black Ranger from the 1995 "Power Rangers Movie". God I just found him so cool...
2) ONE (and only one) of the Stone Generals (dunno if that's their real name, but it's what I call them in memory) from the 2007 CGI film "TMNT".

Kim Pine (the drummer) from Scott Pilgrim, in the movie she had a bit part (also the actress nailed the character) she has a bigger part in the books so i may have a bias.

That awesome hair dude from one of the Harry Potter movies........ (I think the Order of the Phoenix) , he did not do anything , but he had such awesome long hair

There is one NPC in Southern Barrens in WoW. After you do the quests he gives and talk to him again, you get a dialog box that goes like this:

You know what I love, [your character]?

No, Calder, what do you like?

Murder.

As soon as I read that little transaction, immediately made me fall in love with that NPC. He is my favorite.

I like Nevel Longbottom from Harry Potter. I don't know how irrelevant he is exactly, but it bugs me that Nevel does good and important stuff in the books and the powers that be just give it to Ron or Hermoine instead.
