To those spouting American hate over this, well, you're absolutely right. Yup every last one of use thinks this. That's why we pledged not to send any aid to Japan whatsoever and why those assholes who said such hateful things aren't currently getting chewed out by their own countrymen, oh wait...

I think there is a difference between addressing a sociological difference that makes 1 culture unique in some ways and outright stereotyping. I believe this gentleman is doing the former (and I'm American and don't inherently hate my country).

There is a sort of arrogance that many American comics will point out that we in general have towards the rest of the world. As Lewis Black once said, we are the only country in the world that tells everyone else, all the time, that we have the best country in the world, even though we've never left, and we seem to have very little cognizance of just how fuckin' annoying that it.

It's a double edged sword, this whole "we can do anything, because we're Americans!" thing. On one hand we really know how to persevere. However, our arrogance can sometimes blind us to the fact that suffering every great once in a while occurs beyond our borders.

Basically, we don't wake up every day and thank all holy goodness that the poorest in our country enjoy a higher standard of living and a richer life than most of the inhabitants of the rest of the world. That's the real issue. That and over-breeding.

Just get's worse and worse:

This was determined to be fake. The background in the picture shows the Gundam in Odaiba, its original location. It was since moved to Shizuoka, far from the epicenter of the earthquake, where it remains standing. The after photo there was taken during the Gundam's disassembly for transport to its new location.
I just found this out.

It's still most likely broken though, if the earthquake caused this much damage to the bulidngs designed to take it, then the statue must not be in good shape.
Actually, not necessarily true. The damage was confined to the northern area of Japan. Tokyo was just on the edge, and while it got rattled and took damage, but nothing extremely major.

The Gundam is now in Shizuoka, much further south than that. I'm in Nagoya, a few hours from Shizuoka by train, and we suffered no damage or casualties. Odds are, the Gundam is just fine.
You sure?

It was a 9.1, and i'd imagine that the fact it's only on 2 legs would make it more vurnable.
We got a five-minute wobble and nothing else here. The Gundam is pretty firmly bolted to the ground. I think we've nothing to worry about; any damage is going to be cosmetic at worst.

Payback for Pearl Harbor?

What about those Atomic Bombs they threw on them? They killed hundreds of thousands of people that is already an "Uneven Payback".

Some guys seriously ignorant when it comes to disasters like this.

I'm pretty sure all of them are dead. Pearl Harbor was a suicide mission.

i thought the atomic bomb..- scratch that, i thought the two atomic bombs was payback for pearl harbor, confirms that there is high percentage of insanely vengeful/trollkin americans. at least the sane americans are committing a substantial amount of their resources to help japa.

ps. who the hell is still around from that era to spout this drivel

Americans... And then they wonder why half the world hates them.
Sorry, but unless you counted 307,006,550 comments then you completely belong in that group of red necks.
"What is this!? I don't even...."

Whatever you said just wasn't enough to penetrate my cranium.
Need more explanation.
307,006,550 is an estimate of the number of citizens in the US and not all of them posted comments about how Japan deserved the tsunami for pearl harbor

Pearl harbor was a misunderstanding, since the Japanese message was delayed and USA didn't even know they were at war yet. These douchebags don't seem to understand the meaning of compassion those filthy blighters

Not everyone that is responsible for Pearl harbor was in charge of crashing planes in to Naval installations.

That being said everyone responsible dead or not, claiming a natural disaster as pay back for anything is stupid. I had no idea that mother earth was such an American patriot.

This is just as stupid as when the fanatic Christians were claim the earthquake in Haiti was because the Haitians sold their souls to the devil in order to break free from colonial rule, way back in the day.

Or when the Hurricane Katrina was said to be god whipping the sinners from New Orleans.

Proof positive that people are stupid.

Oh dear ... dear spirits o.o

This is no different than when psychotic, hate - preaching Imams said Katrina was the result of Americans living as infidels. Why exactly, as the US economy begins burning around them, do some Americans think that pissing off the world with idiotic ramblings is going to help? x.x

What possesses these people?

Under what function of logic do they guide their lives with?

Surely these must be people that think if fibre is good for you, eating a bedsheet must also promote health and wellbeing.

Watch- when that nuclear power plant somewhere sitting on, like, 6 fault lines blows up due to the inherent instability in the region (am i thinking of the one that WAS damaged by the tsunami?), someone is gonna say something like this. Or when chernobyl finally melts through its concrete coffin- payback for communism. again.

About what?
You don't think that assholes are assholes and always will be assholes? Or you so hurt over my example that I stated earlier? When I said that I will insult America if something happens to the because they have Insulted others, did I personally insult you...

And just saying it was sarcasm... Americans are just as worthless asshole and everyone else on this miserable planet and deserve no special attention of being insulted than anyone else. I hope you got what you wanted, I stated the fact that Americans aren't special... Or is it wrong because I am not an American to say something like that, did I just insult you, did you get offended - goodness me, I wouldn't want that.

We...we dropped a, wait, scratch that, we dropped MULTIPLE bombs on them.
It's like being hit in the face with a pie, and retaliating by shooting the person in the foot.
Only...on a global scale...and with death. Not delicious strawberry-rhubarb.
You know what, forget the metaphor.

Point is, if I have one (SPOILER ALERT: I don't) These things are very far in the past.

Everyone forgets, this is AMERICA we're talking about. Living here, I realize 95% of the people around me are LITERALLY dumber than dogs; takes much less to satisfy and anger as well. For more info, look up faith and religion. The country was founded on stealing, robbing, lying, pillaging, raping, and holy genocide; this country is currently known as a bully for forcing all the other countries to act by America's will such as demonizing and killing communism, brainwashing africa to not use protection, invading poor iraq, and much more.
Saying that the US was founded by greed and religious freedom is a fair statement. Seriously it was the 1600's, believing in religion is understandable and there is the saying: "Greed is good" You really need a source to prove that America brainwashed Africa from using protection and saying we invaded Iraq shows how much you know... In plus Stalin tried to kill democracy (you seem to be stuck in the 1940s) so would you of hated both of the worlds super powers? It seems more appropriate that you hate humanity with what you are saying than just America. If you lived in Britain you would probably be saying the same thing about them.
*takes a breather*
I do hate a lot of the people here though and I feel like the kids wouldn't be such assholes if I lived in South Korea or somewhere similar.

Okay, if you say so.

If you get any more info, tell me.

PS: if you see anyone who needs help, tell them that most of us Americans with common sense still feel for their countries loss and help them out for me.

Ok, i'll tell you: They didn't fucking deserve it!

Killing civilians for what those soldiers did is not just in my oppinion. Punishing the civilian population for the actions of the armed forces is a dangerous path to walk.
