Technically, I wasn't doing it from a dare, or a bet, or from getting drunk. It was my choice and I enjoyed it fully. So neener neener I'm still counting it. ;)

-Well, I'm not a very competitive man, though I can be physically confrontational. As such, I dislike most team sports.

-I enjoyed watching My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic... but I also enjoyed reading Cupcakes.

-I'm not so much a feminist as I am a proponent of the attitude that gender should be irrelevant to any official function in society.

-I've performed in theater before and I have a great singing voice.

...all of that said...

-I'm an opinionated gear-head (say petrolhead all ya want, I learned it different, and Alfa-Romeos are exotic foreign things to me) who loves old cars.

-I am a gun owner and well-trained soldier.

-I can't stand modern pop music, to say nothing of boy-bands. I'm a bit of a metalhead.

-I love good beer and whiskey, but I don't drink to get drunk.

-I'm indifferent to love stories, have some negative views on romantic love in general, enjoy sex on a regular basis, and I'm a bit of an insensitive bastard.

If there was such a thing as a man-card, I suppose some would want me to tear mine in half. I'd tell 'em to make me.

This topic is inspired by a thread I found on The Spoony Experiment forums. Most men have certain qualities or interests which might not be considered "manly" by their culture. I thought it would be interesting for the male members of this forum to have a discussion about our non manly guilty pleasures and the like.

I don't like sports. Sports movies are okay because the characters give me a reason to care who wins.

I have no interest in cars.

I consider myself a bit of a feminist. Always been a sucker for action girl characters.

I liked Sailor Moon when i was a kid. Black moon was my favorite story arc.

Don't drink and I don't plan on ever doing it.

I want to wait until I'm married before I have sex.

I like a good love story.

I can still enjoy Backstreet Boys and Nsync. I'm was a fan when I was a kid some nostalgia from time to time can be fun.

I'm the sensitive type and I wouldn't have it any other way.

I'm not a competitive person

I like to talk about my problems and feelings
XD

I have all those qualities as well and girls in my area like that.

So lucky me, hope you find a girl who likes those qualities as well.

What is considered manly? Being manly isn't what other people consider you to be, it is what YOU consider yourself to be. If you try to tell yourself that you are less than what you are meant to be because of what other people say than that isn't manly at all. It destroys your confidence to think that.

I cry when I read a sad part in a book or watch a sad part in a movie.

I consider myself to be a scholar, and by many depictions of "Manliness" I am supposed to be out there scoring with chicks and know every: tool, gun, and vehicle/part like the back of my hand. However ever since I can remember I have been in my house with no social ties and have been writing books ever since.

I watch My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, but that is because it is: Awesome, Awesome, Awesome, some more Awesome, and to top it off, very manly despite feminine vibes (Plus as a childrens cartoon, it is something that children can ACTUALLY learn from, as well as still have a good laugh from. It isn't stupid like most other cartoons that are nothing but vulgar messes that teach bad manners).

I have never had a girlfriend, nor have I ever had sex. But with the way I wish to live out my life, I care little for such things and am ready to carry on without such things.

I can 'patiently' cook, but by all accounts this is an extremely manly thing. Those who say it isn't manly simply just have a different mindset, and often shows that they are Mooches.

I'm sappy and romantic; though that usually goes to waste anyways, so I'm letting it die to make room for something else (To gain a feat you must sacrifice another)

So there you have it. Do you feel better now? A 'Man' who tells you who a man is isn't a man but a child wishing to become a man. This is why I am waiting for Humanity to grow up, but I fear it will be long past my lifetime until 'all' of Humanity does grow up. Just remember that you're an individual and you're entitled to be different no matter what culture you belong to. If they don't like it, than bugger with them I say and be who you want to be with no fear and head held high.

Being a man is having confidence in who you are, no matter what that is.

Just because some jock chops wood and smokes cigars doesn't mean he's a man if he's still an insecure git underneath all that facade.
Yup a true man says "fuck you" to social norms

I don't need your approval or your stupid man cards.

Please someone get the reference.
I'm pretty sure Scrubs is where man cards come from anyway.

I love and have performed in musicals before. They are awesome, and I don't care if they're unmanly. And I too care not for sports or cars. And I still have stuffed animals that I keep in my bed and sleep with.
Hey, don't worry about the musicals thing. Ask any woman you like, who they think is sexier out of Wayne Rooney or Patrick Swazy, they'll go for the dancing guy anytime. :)

Pretty ironically, thinking
is one of the greatest things to grace my days could be considered unmanly. Sugar coat it however you want; It's a song from a musical.
And I like it.

I have very little interest in sports, view cars purely as a method of transportation, am fairly emotional, genuinely enjoy cuddling, am only interested in sex as part of a deeper, more meaningful relationship, I like Evanescence and actually don't mind Paramore. There might be more, but that's all I can think of.

I love puppies and snuggle up to them whenever possible.

I look forward to a long life of monogymous love, which is wierd considering I just graduated highschool.

I couldn't give two shits about American football.

I'm not afraid to admit that a man is attractive.

I hang out with two other guys that I'm pretty sure want to be nudists, and I'm fine with that.

What are you talking about. This is one of the most manly songs ever written.

Actually, for being able to state these things MAKES you a man. Tell all those sports playing, beer drinking, titty club going pretenders to take a hike.

A real man doesn't pretend, he IS.

That said, I do enjoy cute things. A lot in fact. I would have gotten a specific stuffed animal if I could find it.
