Pastor Petric's stance against games may seem wrong, but it's at least understandable. If my son had murdered my wife and shot me in the head after an argument about letting him play a violent videogame, I'd probably believe that the game had helped warp my kid's personality a bit, too.
You wouldn't think that because you'd be dead. Dead people don't think, ever.

Lets turn his own "logic" agaisnt him, he's spent 20+ years researching any amount of crimes and such, so why isn't he some massmurderer/pedophile/druglord etc.? Hell he's spent about twice as long researching that than the "crazy violent videogame addict turned violent criminals" have been alive and went into FAR greater depth... I mean surely his research is going to be more unrestricted than ANYTHING we play...

So nope, he's not, therefore his argument is seriously flawed. Just bitching on a "new" medium jumping on the bandwagon.

Dear Media, Videogames do not make people violent/crazy, stop being idiots.

Video games makes kid kill 2 adults.

Religion and intolerance makes an adult kill 93 kids.

You decide what's worse.

I love the fact that in almost all of these video game murder/shooting/violence cases, the teens have always had some sort of preexisting anger issues or mental issues that is conveniently ignored.

Ugh. Blaming video games for violent outbreaks is like blaming your car if you're stuck in a traffic jam and you're late for a meeting.

Don't worry about the book he wrote, the reviews predate the story, it is already certified shit. What royally pisses me off is how no expert, feel free to prove me wrong, has said obsession, not the object of obsession, causes bad behavior. Of course no one wants to hear that, they want to hear poor Billy was not responsible, rather than to grow up and admit there are bad parents.
