Some people blindlessly hate it and think its like twillight. But if you have watched a few episodes you know it isnt just some teen soap opera. It has some great scenes and plenty of violence/gore.

I get the same thing. I tell them that it has vampires and werewolves and suddenly, they all think I'm a Twilight fan (I'm not). They simply cannot grasp the concept that the supernatural doesn't necessarily involve angsting teens.
