I'd recommend Dexter; how I love that show. Well acted, good story (at least, in the first two series, I haven't seen past those).
I also like House a lot as well.

The Thick of It, quite possibly political satire at its finest. These scenes probably aren't the best example of that satire, but they do showcase Malcolm Tucker.

Also stuff like

-Fawlty Towers
-BlackAdder
-Red Dwarf
-Mainly old British comedies get my vote

Spooks(MI-5 in some regions) is a good show. And Doctor Who(pick your fav.) That's pretty much all I have for you now.

I would suggest Scrubs or House, but it depends what sort of shows you like. If you want a comedy I would definitely recommend Scrubs though.

Arrested Development. All three seasons are on DVD and nearly every episode has at least one laugh out loud moment in it but they're all drenched in extremely dry and witty humor. I've seen every episode of every season at least 5 times and I keep finding new jokes I didn't notice the first time around.

Or Flight of the Conchords. Just because it's hilarious.

I'm looking for a TV show thats on DVD right now that i can watch in my free time do you guys have any ideas for me?
breaking bad.. A HS science teacher is diagnosed with lung cancer, oh then he starts cooking and selling meth... show is unpredictable, edge of the seat show, but not for kids.

Arrested development and Flight of the Conchords have been mentioned and they are worth it.

If you like sci-fi with a mix of western shooter I suggest, Firefly.

Dr. Who came back in 2005 and is 4 seasons deep now, might be hard to find on DVD, being its a BBC show.

SCRUBS, only the best show ever
I think you are confusing that with House M.D. The real best show ever.

Depends. If you want drama, House. If you want comedy, I'll have to say The Office (USA) or Community (great new comedy that came out this year).

Also, why buy DVDs when Hulu streams the most recent episodes online for free (with the networks' permission). Course, if you want older episodes, I suppose DVDs are the way to go.
