No, it's not. I think what makes a hug between two guys is the intention behind it. If you're gay and you're hugging because you like the person, then, yes, it is gay. If you're not gay and it's just your way of showing friendship, I don't think it is.

This seems so childish...like how "gay" is the universal negative adjective to apply to things in high school.

I generally stick to handshakes with guys and hugs with girls as that just seems more natural, but there's nothing innately wrong with hugging the same sex. I find it ridiculous that people could be so insecure as to say otherwise.

well, all my friends live in different parts of the country so when we do meet it pretty much is a reunion, some friends i haven't seen for 2 or 3 years, next time i see them i will be giving them a hug. when I saw them on a pretty much daily basis, no, we didn't hug every time we met.

I'm well aware of that, being gay myself, I was just saying it very hypocritical that two guys hugging is gay to people, but when me and my gf hug in public, or even when we kiss, people assume were just best friends or something, it makes no sense to me.
