Well let's see... I'll try to describe it as well as I can... My left pinky finger is always hovering over the shift key and my right hand is at an angle so that I hit the space bar with my right index finger... It works.

Or I mostly type with my whole left hand, and use the right hand's index finger. Or at least that's the way I write at the moment while I want to know how i type... damn you, that's like the "you are now breathing manually"!
You just had to say that didn't you? Now I'm too fucking focused on making sure I don't suffocate myself to say how I type (Home Row keys all the way, baby.)

I am typing this post blindly on purpose, it goes a lot slower when im actually paying attention to it.
guess its more of a flow thing for me.

I can't remember... OK, it seems that I'm typing this without looking at the keyboard, but stopping and checking for difficult characters like apostrophes.

Well, since a fair bit of my time is spent playing first-person shooters, my left hand naturally gravitates towards WASD, and my right hand is usually angled near or around K and O. I tend to type with all of my fingers, although admittedly my pinky is used the least (primarily Shift and Backspace).

It seems to work, since I type pretty speedily and I don't have to look at the keyboard when I'm doing it. It helps with typos - something I inevitably end up producing a lot of since I've got stubby little banana fingers.

I don't even know how to describe how I type. My hands are just all over the place, and I kinda half look at the keyboard.

My left hand lays over wasd/space/l.shift out of habit...Never know when an fps is going to break out, apart from that standard touch typing...Oh and an over use of 3x. I just love dots.

*edit*

After typing that I looked at my right hand and thought about it - Generally it sits inbetween keys around k and pinkie resting between r.shift and enter

I do go with the traditional home row, but that was because my mum's an ex-typist and she taught me to touch type when I was about 4. I used to be 80wpm/6, but I'm out of practice, I'm down to about 60wpm/8 at the moment :( I know when I've made a mistake, but if I go back to correct it my speed drops to about 40wpm/0

My lazyness normally limits my typing to a 'one hand prop - one hand type' scenario, using all 5 fingers of the one hand that is actually moving (kinda like a little dance on the keyboard)

I can still type faster than 90% of my class when I use 1 hand, but when I use two then it really kicks off.

Errors come up slightly more often but my speed takes a masterclass in badass. Worth the few minutes spent correcting things at the end.

I don't look at the keyboard. I just type away, and my fingers hit the correct letters.

I'm sorry. Do it like me and get a medical ventilator. The only way to escape this.
Hey, at least I didn't say "ever wondered how your jaw stays up?"...

I normally type with both hands but have learned to modify it to one hand and looking at the keyboard while I hold and take care of my 6 m/o baby daughter with the other hand.

I look down at the keyboard when I start to type to align my hands (though there's no conscious thought involved), occasionally if I pause, and if I notice that my hands have been shifted to the left or right and every word I type is suddenly wrong. Otherwise, I just look at what I'm typing, since my hands remember where every key is. I'm actually massively increased the number of mistakes I make since I got a new keyboard about a year ago, because the buttons are slightly closer together than with most keyboards.

I still type like I was shown in class, although numbers are a ***** to remember so I find myself looking down alot at them still.
