With what I've heard, Jones is injured and may not play against Real. United's back line is a bit rough, and may be the factor. I really would like to see United to win because Bayern vs United would be an epic game.jaysoon11 said:I think Celtic and Arsenal are both out which is shame for both teams. Based on performances I would say Bayern are favorites but only being one game in I think anyone could win it. The biggest shock has to be the AC Milan game but Messi's record V Italian clubs is shocking especially against his high standards, 7 Games and only 1 Goal (which was a Pen).
I do hope we (Man United) can win against Real but it won't be an easy game, just hoping Van Persie's miss won't turn out to be important.
Agreed but I think Fergie will go for the jugular on this one, we sat back against Man City last season and look where it got us, this season we took it to them a lot more and got the result. Not saying throw caution to the wind but I think playing for a 0-0 against Real Madrid would be foolish. Need to attack but at the same time be wary of their ability to counter, which I expect will be their game plan. Either way it's gonna be a cracker!Guffe said:You played well and I think the game could've gone either way reallyThe-Fiction said:As a Man Utd fan I'm delighted with our result
I think you just need to play a little better at the second leg and you'll be through, I'm not hoping that you go through but I think the chances of you vs real are pretty 50-50
I do think that if you go for a 0-0, away goal to secure your victory you fail, you'll need one goal that's what I think. Going all defensive will hit you back if that's what Fergie goes for.
I laughed quite a lot at this, especially your grrrr, thank youdoggy go 7 said:my opinion on the champions league? grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrarsenalwhatthefuckareyoudoinggrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
It's not that we lost per say, because bayen are right up there in the best teams in europe catagory, it's the fact that for the first half and a lot of the second, we just didn't look like we cared at all. I want us to be at a point where we don't have to say wilshire was great, even though everyone else was crap, but we can say the majority of our players had a good game.
and who the fuck let ramsey onto the pitch (ok rant over no)
I too support Bayern, but to be fair Arsenal's goal was a total fluke! The ball hit Podolski and went out of play, shouldn't have been a corner in the first place. However, Neuer was pretty poorly positioned, he came out to get the ball and hesitated and Arsenal got a goal as a result.klown said:As a big Bayern Munich fan, I'm glad of our 3 away goals, we are almost assured to make it through, though the Gunner goal was such a big mistake for Neuer. He should have done better.

Would want to see that game, it would be a big loss if Jones is injured as we do not have any player that can replace him. But Reals back line is just as bad but I am not sure I want it to turn into a game of who can outscore who as I wouldn't fancy are chances.klown said:With what I've heard, Jones is injured and may not play against Real. Harsh, yea we are poor against Barca, it doesn't have to be a CL final.SmashLovesTitanQuest said:Real have been all over the place this season though. And yeah, +1 for Bayern vs ManU. As something of a Bayern fan I have a lot of respect for ManU, they're never an easy win. (Unless you're Barca and you're playing them in the CL final. Sorry! Had to rub it in. Feel free to mention Chelsea and stuff.)
We've basically gotten rid of Robben for the most part. He plays like 10-20 minutes a game. I'd love to see it come down to two German teams.Spinozaad said:I'm sick of Barcelona and their (in my honest opinion) technically superior, but mechanical and soulless style of play. I loathe the philosophy of Real Madrid, and I never had much sympathy for Italian teams.
I sincerely hope it's not one of the usual suspects, but a complete outsider. Although I'm not a fan of FC Hollywood and their annoying wingers Robben and Ribery, but they're a juggernaut at the moment: unstoppable.
Still, I hope it'll be Dordmund. I find them to be the most sympathetic.
And that, my friend, is one of the few reasons why I think Bayern deserves some credit. And, of course, because they play amazing football at the moment!klown said:We've basically gotten rid of Robben for the most part. He plays like 10-20 minutes a game.
