For me
Celtic would be a nice option as would Bayern since they'd get their fifth
I hope Real takes out ManU
and of course I have to have some support for Schalke as Teemu Pukki plays there
That's my sum up

As a Man Utd fan I'm delighted with our result
You played well and I think the game could've gone either way really
I think you just need to play a little better at the second leg and you'll be through, I'm not hoping that you go through but I think the chances of you vs real are pretty 50-50
I do think that if you go for a 0-0, away goal to secure your victory you fail, you'll need one goal that's what I think. Going all defensive will hit you back if that's what Fergie goes for.

I think Celtic and Arsenal are both out which is shame for both teams. Based on performances I would say Bayern are favorites but only being one game in I think anyone could win it. The biggest shock has to be the AC Milan game but Messi's record V Italian clubs is shocking especially against his high standards, 7 Games and only 1 Goal (which was a Pen). Does this suggest that Messi couldn't do it on a cold wet day in Stoke?

I do hope we (Man United) can win against Real but it won't be an easy game, just hoping Van Persie's miss won't turn out to be important.

With what I've heard, Jones is injured and may not play against Real. United's back line is a bit rough, and may be the factor. I really would like to see United to win because Bayern vs United would be an epic game.

Agreed but I think Fergie will go for the jugular on this one, we sat back against Man City last season and look where it got us, this season we took it to them a lot more and got the result. Not saying throw caution to the wind but I think playing for a 0-0 against Real Madrid would be foolish. Need to attack but at the same time be wary of their ability to counter, which I expect will be their game plan. Either way it's gonna be a cracker!

If United beat Madrid I think they'll go all the way. Barca are pretty much out now because AC can just park the bus in the next leg, anyone else find barca boring as shit to watch?

my opinion on the champions league? grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrarsenalwhatthefuckareyoudoinggrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

It's not that we lost per say, because bayen are right up there in the best teams in europe catagory, it's the fact that for the first half and a lot of the second, we just didn't look like we cared at all. I want us to be at a point where we don't have to say wilshire was great, even though everyone else was crap, but we can say the majority of our players had a good game.

and who the fuck let ramsey onto the pitch (ok rant over no)
I laughed quite a lot at this, especially your grrrr, thank you :)

As for me I'm still rooting for Malaga because their manager and player Isco interests me. But the biggest news for me is that their would appear to be quite an interesting tactic developing for Barca (Celtic, AC, Inter and Chelsea all used it), and to call it simply 'parking the bus' would be a disservice to AC Milan who showed a masterclass of tactical defensive work.

As a Man City fan I have to pretend that the Champions league doesn't matter (it really does matter) so aside from Malaga I'd really like to see a Juventus vs Barca showdown. I think theirs a strong case for saying they are currently the top 2 world teams.

As a big Bayern Munich fan, I'm glad of our 3 away goals, we are almost assured to make it through, though the Gunner goal was such a big mistake for Neuer. He should have done better.
I too support Bayern, but to be fair Arsenal's goal was a total fluke! The ball hit Podolski and went out of play, shouldn't have been a corner in the first place. However, Neuer was pretty poorly positioned, he came out to get the ball and hesitated and Arsenal got a goal as a result.

As for the return leg at the Allianz Arena I give my best wishes to Arsenal as they have one hell of task before them to try and draw at the very least!

It's so disappointing to see so many English people not willing to support fellow English clubs if they were to be knocked out. I'm a United fan and I'd support any English club if we got knocked out; showing off how good the PL is more important in Europe than local rivalries.
idk I'm half french and multilingual so I take a more cosmopolitan stance to things

Disappointed in Dortmund's result, delighted with Bayern's result, and finally, loling at Barcelona's defeat.

Would want to see that game, it would be a big loss if Jones is injured as we do not have any player that can replace him. But Reals back line is just as bad but I am not sure I want it to turn into a game of who can outscore who as I wouldn't fancy are chances.

Real have been all over the place this season though. Maybe ManU can pull through.

And yeah, +1 for Bayern vs ManU. As something of a Bayern fan I have a lot of respect for ManU, they're never an easy win. (Unless you're Barca and you're playing them in the CL final. Sorry! Had to rub it in. Feel free to mention Chelsea and stuff.)
Harsh, yea we are poor against Barca, it doesn't have to be a CL final.

I'm sick of Barcelona and their (in my honest opinion) technically superior, but mechanical and soulless style of play. I loathe the philosophy of Real Madrid, and I never had much sympathy for Italian teams.

I sincerely hope it's not one of the usual suspects, but a complete outsider. Although I'm not a fan of FC Hollywood and their annoying wingers Robben and Ribery, but they're a juggernaut at the moment: unstoppable.

Still, I hope it'll be Dordmund. I find them to be the most sympathetic.

We've basically gotten rid of Robben for the most part. He plays like 10-20 minutes a game. I'd love to see it come down to two German teams.

And that, my friend, is one of the few reasons why I think Bayern deserves some credit. And, of course, because they play amazing football at the moment!

(Because unless Feyenoord would be contending, the best team deserves to win. Except Barcelona, because fuck those guys)
