Oddly fun game.
It's a sim where you design the hospital and run it until you reach a certain goal, then level up (and starting from scratch). Each new level earns you new diseases, new specialties and larger hospitals to run.

It's got a very dark sense of humor--if you get the "right" receptionist, she will all but call patients cheap bastards, but in a pleasant way.

It's definitely not a popular game, but despite it's very limited amount of playtime, it still makes me laugh whenever I pop it in.

"Patients are asked not to die in the corridor..."

Theme Hospital was, and still is, my favourite SIM game Fantastic game...

Alas, I don't have a little-known game.

the only obscure games i play that i can relay think of are the two vampire rpgs.

vampire redemption and vampire bloodlines. Although they were both brilliant games (that dont require you to be a goth wanabe vamp larper) neither sold well.

Id definately recomend either of them to you folks out there if your into rpgs.

Cybercon III, it came out for the Amiga, Atari ST and PC in the early 90s. Outside my group of friends I've only ever met one person who has played or even heard of it.

Interestingly probably my favorite game storyline is the almost-no-one-doesn't-stare-at-me-blankly-when-I-mention-it Okage: Shadow King for the PS2(HAS ANYONE HEARD OF ITno, didn't think so...). Its story is brilliant and quirky and exciting and I can say without any noticeable trace of sarcasm that it makes up for the HORRIBLE battle system (everything that's wrong with turnbased battles, including party members that don't realize they're supposed to be exerting actual effort, and more random encounters than a dog's ass has hair follicles) and the ridiculously drawn-out puzzles. I actually played to the end to find out what happened to the characters, which is a miracle considering how ADD I can be...

I actually played like an hour of that on my friend's PS2 once. I remember like, you had to save your sister because he shadow was pink or something like that.

Yeah, it was goofy as hell, but the idea of you playing the hackneyed magical Evil King trying to take over the world and failing miserably is just so great I stole it for a story I'm writing

I'm glad someone else has at least heard of it, though. Pump it up with cheat codes to get through the bad guys and dungeons and it's pretty entertaining.
