I consider this game to be one of the best GBA games ever made:

-snip-

Made by Konami, I've seen a few small advertisements inside of a Gamestop, but AFAIK none of my friends have even heard about it. I refer to it as "this japanese game I used to play" even though it was in full english hahahaa
I remember them showing that on Cinematech a few times.
[sub]Y'know, back when G4 had TechTV, and didn't suck.*[/sub]

[sub]*Fine, Ninja Warrior is alright...[/sub]

There's a pretty fun platformer i've been playing while waiting for my 360 to come back from the repair shop. It's called Voodoo Vince.
In it you play a possessed voodoo doll on a quest to rescue his creator. It's pretty damn good. There's some pretty funny jokes and clever enough puzzles, and vince's ultimate move is to attack himself with chainsaws, wrecking balls, and even a bottle of laxatives. He is a voodoo doll after all. The levels look like something Tim Burton would have made up after spending a week at Mardi Gras. The music is a quite awesome combination of acoustic and brass jazz and zydeco that makes playing the game a treat.

but enough of me praising the game. your turn now.

Industrial Spy: Operation Espionage

Also known in Japan as "EspionAgeNTS" (at least, I think that was what it was called).

It was a game that let you play as a sort of "Jim Phelps" character. You couldn't directly control your agents, instead issuing vague orders to them. Wasn't terribly good... Not at all. It was a nice idea, though...

I LOVE THAT GAME!

Did you check out Zeus: Master of Olympus, by the same company?
Holy snap I have that game! I was going to mention it, but seems it's actually a little known.
It's well-known enough to have been re-released by SoldOut. So it's pretty well known and pretty damn easy to find.

Call of Cthulhu is an Obscure game, and it's also very good. Scary in some parts, similar to Eternal Darkness.

I am so glad that someone else has played this game. I was getting tired of telling people about it myself. Thanks!

Ratchet and Clank & Jak and Daxter are both greatest hits games. They sell really, really well. Not quite obscure.

Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath, now that's a gem.
Word.

Stronghold series (Firefly has offices in two places in the UK and one in the US, so it seems that they'd do at least some development here)
I have the first Stronghold sitting next to me right now. It reminds me of the Ceaser games. Those kinda sanbox-city-builders are really fun in short doses. I never got to grips with the 'Seige' sections, though.

The only game I can think to mention is Sanitarium. Despite being a very excellent adventure game, I very rarely ever see it mentioned on these forums. It's a shame, really, that more people don't know about it.

TOMBI, its one of my all time favorite games that i still can pick upp and play. it had artwork and alot of nice puzzles. I only wished that i had the sequal :(
AAAAHH!!!!

I played a demo for that game so long ago, and I absolutely loved it. I tried getting the full game, but I couldn't find it anywhere. I actually started thinking about it recently, but couldn't remember the name.

It was a PSone game, wasn't it? I might try picking that up from the Internet at some point.

I loved Majestic the game. It had its issues, but the idea and the level of contact was impressive. Unfortunately 9/11 kinda killed the ability to call people at 2 AM and threaten to kill them if they dont deliver a package.
Good lord yes, Majestic. Did that ever actually get off the ground. I remember getting quite psyched about it here in the UK, early morning death threats notwithstanding, but either it never materialised or I just managed to miss it entirely.

Anyway, any obscure games I can think of?

I think Crimewave was fairly obscure. It was an isometric 3D game on the Sega Saturn in which you drove a heavily armed vehicle around a city and chase down other similarly armed vehicles.

Also, Fragile Allegiance:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fragile_Allegiance - this one I could actually find on wikipedia. I thought that was a smart little game, don't know how popular it was back then.

I never owned a PS2 though, so I never had the chance to play it. It's actually not Russian, but is based on an amazing comicbook from Image. Now, honestly say you knew about either. Incidentally the comic is how I know it exists.
I have it. It's a mixture of a shmup and a beat'em up. Seriously. Interesting game.

Killer 7

you run by pressing one button and you pick where your going by choosing which path you want then running again. All the enemies are invisible and they can only hurt you by getting close to you and exploding. Makes sense that in '05 not alot of people wanted to play that game. But it had an excellent story and if you didnt really care about the fact that it wasnt a FPS you were in for a real treat.
I have that game. It's one of those games that you have to play because it's just so out of the ordinary.

I never beat it, though. Gets pretty difficult towards the end.
I didnt really think that it was that hard.
Were you playing on normal.

Yes Tombi (I'm from Britain, spelt differently over here) is a gem BUT Chips challenge is the most obscure game of.

Only myself and my friend Dave know it.

Checkmate.
Brings back memories. Thanks strange people. Got the disc of Pharoah downstairs and played Chips Challenge on an old NEC laptop.

As for me?

Most obscure that I know of.
Wait, chip's challenge? My sister and I used to play that constantly over at the home of my father! We loved it!

As for oni...

I am confused as to how dual wielding any projectile weapon set becomes a functional combat strategy, but firing a heavy machine gun with one hand simply boggles my mind.
