People who Min/Max in RPGs. You are reducing a RPG to just a G. Try some role-playing.
You are missing the point. People can enjoy the gameplay mechanics as well as the storyline, as it is not a choice that excludes the other. I tend to find people who complain about others enjoying gameplay mechanics are elitists who don't get it.

I would say that people who come on the Escapist only to watch Yahtzee miss the point. I mean, Yahtzee's great, but there are so many other great features to be had here.

This isn't a game but...I heard of people walking out of Pan's Labyrinth because they didn't know it was a foreign film and didn't want to read subtitles.

Also...Rent gets kind of a bad rap, but I know a girl who walked out of that movie and demanded her money back because it had AAAAAAAIDS in it. >_<

You're missing the point in thinking that your sources of entertainment must be matched by others and that if they disagree, then it is they who are missing the point.

Try as he might, my friend cannot comprehend the point of competitive StarCraft. He tries to express his opinion typically as follows "Yes, but surely you could tell by who had the most dudes or whatever who was going to win the fight?". Good thing I love him like a brother.

You're missing the point in assuming that I require people to enjoy the same things I do else I think they are missing the point, when in reality I was implying that those who never even give things a try are missing the point.

We all know what your first post was. Here's a shovel to keep digging.

Sorry, what? I think I missed whatever point you just tried to make there.

Does the one with the most dudes win?
Not if they're playing against Bisu, no.

(I have a man-crush on Bisu)

1) Dead Rising - People think it is always about having guns and shooting everything up, they think that you can only beat the story after playing it through and leveling up to level 25...I beat it in my first try, and you are supposed to use stuff from all over the mall.

2)Left 4 Dead 2 - I don't care if it's pretty much the same game released a second time. The versus modes are much better and it makes for a much more fun versus experience.

How about buying World of Warcraft accounts?

What's the point of buying an already leveled up character in an RPG?

Losers.
This. There's not too many game that one can "miss the point" unless it has some subtle subtext about something. WoW, on the other hand is pretty direct. The only qualm I have with WoW is that the original sets of quests (pre-BC or WotLK) are not as well written, and the ones that are are few and far between (and extremely good). However, buying a character who is already leveled up in a game that is almost entirely about leveling up completely disregards the point of the game itself.
