What's that one Achievement, Trophy, or Award on your record that is perfectly within your skills as a gamer (or so ridiculous that it's impossible) but you know you'll never be able to get? (Feel free to discuss unlockables, like Infinite RPGs on Resident Evil 5).

I'd have to go with Seriously 2.0 on Gears of War 2. I've had it since 2008 and I've only scored about 17,250 kills of the 100,000 required. That and any Achievement in Dead or Alive Xtreme 2.

Edit: All of the "____ Veteran" Prestige Challenges in Modern Warfare 2. I did it once with the M4A1 Assault Rifle. Never again...

Second Edit: "If They Came To Hear Me Beg" from Halo: Reach. I don't need to say anymore than that.

I Fallout 3 you've got an achievement for reaching lv 20 with high karma. It took me a while to get that one. But there are also achievements for reaching lv 20 with neutral and bad karma. Then you'll have to begin again, and if there is someting i hate doing in sandbox game's is beginning again.

I had about thirty or fourty thousand on Gears 2 and it motherfucking [HEADING=3]RESET[/HEADING] on me

I did manage to beat MW2 on Veteran, which was actually pretty fun. I tried it on World At War, and gave up since I didn't have an extra $50 to spend on a controller. But I beat the Mile High level of MW1 on Veteran, so I'm happy with that. However, I have never gotten all of the intel on any of the games, which is crazy because most of it is only half-heartedly hidden.
I have never finished a Call of Duty game on Veteran difficulty. And I haven't completed every Halo game on Legendary. So many games, so little time...

That's supposedly bugged. I've seen a lot of people who are unable to attain 100% (something like 98.9% is the top) because of a bugged crate or so, or something like that. Might have been the one that was unreachable due to a clipping error (which was fixed), but i'd be utterly pissed off if i spent the time going for 100% only to find it's physically impossible, never mind psychologically.
I'm aiming for 75% for the achievement, and that's hard enough in itself.

The Gmod achievement for spending a year on the game seems impossible to me, unless you want to burn a hole in the ozone layer leaving your PC on day and night.

The hardest achievement i'm facing is for 20 successful duels in Empire Total War. Not only does the game track these stats on a hit and miss basis (i.e., i think i'll count this one, but the next 3 i might not), but winning a duel is utterly impossible. 55% chance my arse...

I have 1000G on Naruto: The Broken Bond, but I don't have all achievements.

Missing the hokage rank one and that gets harder as time passes since you have to beat the previous persons' record. My friend got it at 70 something kills online in the tower thing. I had over 200, then went out, came back, and I had lost connection. So damn close.

I've seen a bug in Just Cause 2 with the Low-Flying achievement. My friend was playing and the timer just kept repeating "5 seconds" as opposed to counting down. The he'd crash and it wouldn't give him the Achievement.

I managed to get the 5 Day Survivor achievement on Dead Rising. I would have held on for the 7 Day Survivor, but honestly I was afraid my 360 was about to choke and die as it was. What kind of psycho programmer made an achievement on first wave Xboxes that would require that kind of hardware abuse?

I wonder how many early 360s died from marathon Dead Rising sessions? Ah well, I never got 7 Day Survivor and I likely never will. Sad really, I think that's the only one I didn't get in that game. Ah well.

Team Fortress 2 loves kicking you in the balls for achievements sometimes. Because achievements that require unreal amounts of damage/kills (Chief of Staff, Pyromancer, Tartan Spartan, Sapmaster, etc.) [HEADING=3]ALWAYS[/HEADING]

Reset on you.

Other stupid achiements are "With Friends Like These" and "Banner of Brothers", which require several friends to complete.

God mode on God of War: Ghost of Sparta... damn that's a hard mode. I beat the Hard mode (don't remember what exactly was it called) without much of a problem, but in God Mode I can't beat the first boss... I felt really, really un-kratosworthy then...

Ive got the platinum trophy for FO3, its pretty simple to get those 3 trophies, basically you level up to 19 on your good karma char, then save. Level up to 20, Bing! good karma achievement.. Load, kill (or steal if killing would make you level too soon) until your karma goes to neutral, level up to 20, Bing! Neutral karma achievement, load... i think you see where this is going..

As for which achievements i'll never get... Most multiplayer ones, seeing as i usually dont spend too much time in multiplayer (unless the entire game is multiplayer based)

You can also use a lvl 19 save and kill everyone in Megaton to change your karma before leveling up...

OT: Any achievement that requires playing a lot of online or co-op (for example, Portal 2 and Borderlands).

I found that achievment pretty simple, with help from Rooster Teeth of course....

Achievments I found difficult are achievments which revolve around you completing the game 100%. Also, I found the achievment to get all manuscript pages on Alan Wake to be a pain in the arse, not sure why though.

MW2 on Vet wasn't that bad, except for that one part where you have to get past the Favela. That part of the game can go die in the deepest parts of hell.

[Insert every game achievement that requires the player to stop playing the actual game and instead do unrelated stuff for sake of just getting an achievement]

I simply refuse to take part in the achievement spree. If it isn't part of gameplay and asks me to do things that otherwise make no sense i consider it not worth the effort, like for eg. the 100 feathers in AC2.
