Hi guys got any Under rated movies that never got popular you would suggest.

For me I highly suggest both the Riddick movies Pitch Black and The Chronicles of Riddick if you like sci-fi or just bad assness it would be a sin not to watch these movies. At least in my opinion.

The story is kinda deep but basically there is a guy with a very big bounty on his head in the way deep future and he is also the last of his race. He was destined to kill the the ruler of a empire which isn't mentioned in the first movie but is the main story in the second.

In the first movie they develop the characters. Riddick as a man that is realistic and dangerous but not insane. Also he can see in the dark. Seeing in the dark rules.

Check it out.

Primer is an underrated movie, probably the best movie on time travel there is.

Even though its fanbase is starting to grow, I can't help but mention Repo! The Genetic Opera.

Shutter Island. I know, weird that I'm saying a movie that is getting good ratings all over. But I try to get people to see it with me (I eventually got one person). All of them said no because it looks bad or they don't know what it's about, or they're an absolute cretin that can't tell a good thing from a stick up their ass. Great movie that hardly anyone I know wants to see.

The Chronicles of Riddick movie was so bad that I actually left midway. But to each their own.

OT: Treasure Planet. Why doesn't anyone like it?!
Batman Beyond. Yeah it's a tv show, but whatever. (Prepares for fanboy assualt)

Why if we're talking about under-rated films does everybody mention films that are well known and have huge fanbases? I'd say Cecil B. Demented.

Oh god, this has been covered again and again.

Fine, my current three are the Rambo series, which despite being pretty damn stupid, is still very enjoyable as action films. Plus, you can't not like Sylvester Stallone!

The other being the Evil Dead series. Army Of Darkness in particular, it was so low rated inverse to its quality and entertainment value that it's almost criminal.

And finally, Avatar. Opinion seems to be fairly split down the middle on this one, but I myself think it was one of the greatest Sci-fi films I've ever seen, and it was perhaps the most entertained I've ever been by a film. In my opinion, it deserves every cent it gets and more.
Avatars not very under rated is it and I try to be original but so many things have been posted before I got here.

How can you not like the Evil Dead series? They are a strange combination of creepy, overly-violent and funny that is seen nowhere else! They are awesome!

OP: Brazil, the Terry Gilliam film, and Lucky Number Sleven are both nowhere near as popular as they should be.

I'll give you Pitch Black, but Chronicles had quite a few issues.

OT: Stardust bombed at the box office and was pretty much panned by the critics. I don't care, it was still one of the best adaptations (even when it deviated from the source). The writing and acting were both first rate, I think too many people went in there expecting something more like LOTR, and got something more akin to a very subtle, very dark Princess Bride.

Yeah I have heard so many people say it's bad but I don't see how. The main character is so dark and sees past everything. He kills anyone he feels needs to die but he is not ungodly over powered. And who doesn't like sci-fi and can call them self a gamer? I mean sure it's not the most thought provoking movie but it's fun to watch.

She wasn't really that bad in that film, although the character she played made it so that she didn't even need to act.

Paycheck was great but pretty underrated its about a guy that does confidental jobs and gets his memory erased after and he did one job that apperently got him in trouble or something and he left himself clues from before the memory wipe.

also the core was a pretty good movie about a team of people that have to drill to the core of the earth because it stopped spinning

I loved the movie Zoolander, I thought it was utterly hilarious, but many other people I talk to didn't enjoy it near as much apparently.

I loved Batman Beyond. I always thought it weird that people hated it for some reason.
