Underaged kids on X-Box live.

I mute everyone as fast as possible, but it is true.
They complain games cause violance, and all these bad things, but they dont inforce it one bit
I belive children shouldnt play 18 and older games, weather theyer parents purchase them or not. And i honestly think this should be enforced.
Im only 19, and i think this. Because its something that needs to be done before things really get out of hand.

I dont care that kids play games online, i dont care if theyer 12, 15, or 17. The problem is that theyer playing adult games, with adult themes.

Well since it is impossible to gauge every child or teen's level of maturity i think it should be up to the parents. Society just needs to encourage them to be parents and informed ones.

I think your asking a bit much with that. Considering ((what i belive is anyway)) 70% or more of parents these days cant even talk to theyer kids about sex, what makes you think theyer going to care enough to talk to them about video games, or even care about such a thing?

You can trust parents with this, really only as much as you can trust the kids with it. The kid can say, "Oh, when they say blood and gore, they mean like the kind in a PG-13 movie" ((not kidding, ive heard a kid say that before and the mother accually belive it)) and the parent wont have any clue if hes telling the truth or not. Because the truth is, most parents dont really care anymore.

Its something i really belive is an all or nothing situation, because you cant determine if a child is ready for that kind of content, or if a parent even cares if theyer child is exposed to that kind of stuff.

Trust me i know what kind of parents we have today. I know that many just don't care or at least don't care that much at this point, but i prefer to stay away from all or nothing scenarios. Even as i wrote that i knew it was unlikely, maybe impossible, but if the parents don't care then someone has to make them. It's allowing parents to not care that creates idiots and bullies in the first place. Stopping them from playing games isn't going to make them better people. If the parents are raising kids like this then they will just be awful someplace else.

Honestly i still don't think that your age can indicate you're maturity all the time. I mean the 10-13 year olds on xbox live don't really bother me. I find them funny if anything. I am in shock at how young they are and usually how high their voice is at first. I think "they really shouldn't be playing this game just based on the things they are saying", BUT what annoys me to no end is hearing people my own age(16). When i hear someone who sounds as if they are anywhere near my age group spouting some nonsense it kills me. I mute right away. People are the reason i don't like multiplayer games. Even though i am underage, i would probably enjoy multiplayer gaming more if minors didn't play. So i can see where you are coming from, in fact if i was a few years older i would probably feel the same way, despite the fact that i believe i am emotionally mature enough to handle any game on the market.

I know a few people younger then me who are just as mature as i am ((15-16)), but i can pick out a dozen who arnt. Its one of those situations where it tends to be 1/30 who are able to handle it. Im sure you could flip through an average sized year book and pick out dozens of people who couldent handle most adult or mature themes. But then you can really only point out a few who are generally mature enough to understand it.

I mean, im sure if they spent a few months, they could come up with a test to see if someone is able to handle adult themes, but it wouldent be accurate, and even worse, many people would try to cheat on it.

Its one of those things where you have to consider the mental welfare of the many, then the addictions of the few.

Eh, theres always T rated games. There are a few i think are better then most M rated games.

One of them i even purchased my Wii for. ((yup. i saved up and bought a 200$ console for 1 game.))

i was on Ps3 3 kids under 10 [i assume] were saying gay remakes to me racial slurs that i didn't really understand [at one point called me 'Whitey Mcnigger'] and other things about my mum.

so i turn on my mic and talk in a really creepy voice like Billy the puppet from Saw and i say to them 'Would you like To Play a Game? well dont turn around or i will get you in your sleep'

they left that match faster then a a Rabbit getting chased by a fox. Except for 1 he started going on about how i was lying and stuff so i said '10 more mins and im coming to get cha' and then '9 more mins and im coming to get cha' he legged it when i got to 7mins

I swear on i've heard a kid on rainbow six vegas 2 that must have been like four or five i ean he was making gurgling sounds and just couldn't do anything he was just walking round randomly firing like a stormtrooper, i killed him a couple of times but he got lucky on the third encounter and that's when i decided to give up front line combat and become a guerilla warfare/sniper role. i wasn't hunting him but it made me realise what i really was good at and should stick to and just how bizare some matches can be.
But it doesn't matter what age they've been anyone from the southern third of america has been an absolute douche, they've insulted me cause i'd just started out so i wasnt as good as them and they had the maximum level equipment so they could practically shoot people through walls i mean i caught one by surprise with a machine pistol and pumped the entire magazine into him and it didnt do a thing so hes calmly turned and killed me with a single shot, its a bit long winded but my point is is that you don't have to be a teenager to be a dick though to be fair for the most part on rsv2 the people on it don't strike me as being a tenth as bad as that on halo or cod.

Now usually i don't put my mic on but the mate had just left the party so i decided, why not? I am fifteen, and I have been playing Xbox Live for about 2 years, am I an annoying little shit? I have never come across a proper kiddie playing COD or Halo, however I did once come across two players discussing a drug deal in open game chat.
