COPS- Central Organization of Police Specialists. Though dripping with 80s cartoon 'cheese' in hindsight, as a child I thought this thing to be the coolest show ever. I still can't find any African-American cartoon character predating the theatrical-sounding agent B.P. 'Bulletproof' Vess in a position of authority. He didn't really conform to any common stereotypes either. Additionally, whoever voiced Berserko must have had help from helium or something: I can't make my voice sound that squeaky/idiotic if I try.

Sonic Underground.
This. From what I understand it's the darkest of the three Sonic 'toon shows before Sonic X came along. Kind of odd that after all of the new characters the Sonic games brought in they've never used Sonia, Manic, Sleet or Dingo again. Shame that one never got a real conclusion, but that goes for a lot of these, including COPS.

the clerks animated was fun and sam and max deserves an honorable mention.

honestly MegasXLR was more overrated than underrated. my entire family and friend's mother watched that cartoon.

before I forget, the genius for courage the cowardly dog deserves an award for most awe inspiring images ever contributed to humanity. the detailed close ups on the old lady's husband pouting at courage with rage for being a pussy has always and until this day made me shit bricks.

Sherlock Holmes in the 22nd Century. It's really not as bad as it sounds.

Also, The Real Adventures of Johnny Quest.
I am so with you. Sherlock Holmes in the 22 Century was such a good show. I miss it, because I don't know what channel it airs on anymore.
Also, the very first Sabrina the Teenage Witch cartoons were cool until they were replaced with the new artists and voices.
Trigun was awesome, but most who've seen it would say so.
Also, X-Men was one of the most exciting cartoons my sleepy seven-year-old eyes had ever seen. I didn't watch that show, I basked in its glory.

Mighty Max period
Mighty Max was a staple of boyhood.
Couldn't agree more, I have bootleg DVD's of the entire series.... it was a great show as a kid... and pretty violent for the time.

I'm surprised how quickly Mighty Max was brought up.
It was surprisingly violent and on retrospect odd. His companions were a Viking and a Lemurian (what humans will evolve into, which is look a lot like owls...) Personal favourite cartoon.

Other cartoons I watched were all the marvel cartoons and Sherlock Holmes in the 22nd century (...and I though Max was weird). There were a ton of film cartoons like: Highlander, Conan the barbarian, men in black, ace ventura, etc as well...
