Wow, how has this topic got to page 2 without any mention of Brutal Legend? Oh, 'underrated multiplayers', I guess.

Anyway - Brutal Legend's multiplayer really, really qualifies for this. It's bigger, better, and more fleshed out than the single player of the game, it's the part which was worked on for longest, it's really fun, and there is literally nothing that plays like it.

Sadly, because the game was mainly advertised as a single player game and the actual gameplay wasn't really mentioned at all in the last big advertising push, a lot of people went in expecting something different and subsequently had no idea how to actually play the stage battles once they got to them. Oh well, there's still enough people online for the game to be playable, but it'd be great if there were more. Brutal Legend's multiplayer really needs more recognition.
